i love Telescopic. i don't habitually use the waterproof, but i got the wp version for my son's wedding and it was great.
ETA but i'm with B- the idea of makeup on a beach weekend is completely foreign to me!

Not a life altering question. I need a waterproof mascara for a weeklong vacation in a humid location/lots of swimming. Something that lengthens, doesn't run or smudge, and comes off fairly easily without ripping off eyelashes :) Since I won't use it past the vacation, I prefer something I can get at Target for under $15, but I'm open to spending up to $25 at a department store/Ulta if it's highly recommended. Thanks!

I'm kind of with B in that if you're on vacation, and you're swimming/humid location, I'd be more inclined to skip the mascara altogether - just my personal experience.
If you go with waterproof, you'll likely want a remover for waterproof mascara. It's not like regular that will just come off when you wash your face. It's weird stuff (or so I've found).
I think you'd be fine with L'Oreal or Revlon if you don't want to spend a lot. Either of those varieties will stay on. I don't know about swimming ... but they've lasted through crying, and hot weddings.
I've never thought about makeup for a vacation - well at least not beyond a good sun screen.
I like better than sex mascara. You can find a small trial size at Sephora.
Maybelline Great Lash has the best waterproof mascara. I'm a redhead with invisible lashes and wear it so I don't look ill. It held up to full days of water activity in Cancun, so a combo of humidity, water from cenotes, ocean and pool water.
L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara. Runs about $7 (Target) or $10 (Ulta).
Waterproof and smudge proof. It's nice for everyday use because it doesn't brush off and sink into fine lines around the eyes. You remove it by rubbing. I don't use the primer part at all, because it gives a thicker look than I care for.
I use Covergirl waterproof mascara everyday and have never had any issues. It doesn't run or smudge, and it does come off easily. I usually pay $7 or less.
I'd skip the waterproof mascara. I have worn what they call waterproof mascara and the saltwater and sweat have left me looking like a crying clown. No thanks. I prefer something that is harder to smudge, like a pencil eyeliner for my lower lash line, which is pretty sparse. Unless you wear spider leg mascara like the Kardashians, I doubt anyone will notice its absence.
Avon waterproof. It leaves lashes in good shape. Reasonably priced and never "drifts" as the day wears on. Washes off with soap and water.
