YES!!! Our beautiful daughter, who turned four at the end of Nov. '07, was born from a frozen embryo. When we first tried IVF with a fresh cycle and two transfered embryos I didn't get pregnant. So we tried again three or four months later with our remaining four frozen embryos. One didn't survive the freezing (or de-freezing) process, three were transfered and one of those was our daughter who made it!!
Now, over four years later I am pregnant again from a fresh cycle where three embryos survived and we transfered all three since (1) I am 39 and (2) We would have been fine with triplets. As an aside, I also had an acupuncture treatment done just before (in the transfer room) my recent transfer. Although I was found to be carrying twins early on, one baby did not continue to grow (vanishing twin syndrome) and I am now three months away from my due date with one baby who is looking good. So yes I have something positive to share. Fresh and frozen cycles can both work!!
I'm sure I'm not sharing anything new when I say IVF can be a wild ride for the body as well as the emotions. I often thought along the way that without having trust in G-d it would have been so much harder. I also was keenly aware that nothing (no child) had been promised to me, I had not become pregnant during my first 13 years of marriage without IVF and here we had an opportunity very few (relatively speaking) couples have ever had. Our daughter is truly a miracle to us and we never forget that she got the "golden ticket"!
Be well K. and know we will be thinking of you and wishing you all the best!!!
