Hi A.-
I have been involved in MLM/Networking marketing and direct sales for 12 years. I just wrote an article about this.
1. Do what you love--if you love jewelry, purses or health and wellness (however--I find that health and wellness is the most difficult--it is a lot of babysitting).
2. Be excited about your product because if you are not--you will not do as well.
3. Be likable
4. Find a company with a unique twist or idea that they are marketing--lets face it their are many of companies out there doing the same thing--what makes them different and appealing to your prospective audience??
5. Stick with the company--it may take 2 or 3 years but if you have passion you can not go wrong!!
I work with 2 different groups that have many direct sales people in them and they all are great!! The only thing I use a word of caution is market saturation. There is so much of that out there!!
I am currently putting in place a direct sales model for a custom designed jewelry company (there is a retail store in the city)--and if we partner that will not be coming to market for at least a year.
I have checked out many companies and there are 2 really great ones--miessence (which is completely and totally organic products from Australia and are the best in the world. A purse company--gigi hill bags (this is the one that I am with and are running a special deal until Monday). And last but not least traveling vineyards. Please let me know if you want the websites for any one of these. I have very dedicated business associates in each one of these companies and would highly recommend any one of those!! Market niche!!!
Good luck on your journey!! If you need more info or want a copy of the article send me an email
