I went for my 13 week doctors appointment and she did a ultrsound and my fiance and I really had a good view of the baby and for the first time actually saw the baby and in one photo in between its legs look to be like a "Male Part". Now I know it seem early, but my doctor even caught herself calling the baby a Boy. She corrected herself after about two times and said, "I shouldn't say that now because I can't be 100% sure". With my first pregnancy I don't remember seening anthing like that or having any question really because there was nothing there to really question and I really didn't know what I was looking for or looking at for that matter, and my first is a Girl. IS it way to early or could it be early signs?
Since I had a high risk pregnancy, I got an ultrasound every 2 weeks from week 7. I do believe they were able to tell that my baby was a boy early too, but both my doctor and the tech wouldn't commit to what the gender of your baby was until closer to 20 weeks. And even at that point,they still told me that it was not 100% sure. They said no one is 100% sure until the baby is born.
I know it can be easy to get caught up in the gender question, but just be happy to have a beautiful little angel growing in you! Your love is unconditional anyway so why should it matter?

I had a transvaginal US done at 13 1/2 weeks by my paranatologist and it was very obviously a boy. No, it is not too early to tell the gender. Whether it's a boy or girl at this point in their development the baby's gender is visible. Good luck and congrats.
Just wanted to let you know that I have a cousin that was told at THREE different ultrasounds that she was having a boy and she had a girl! I also saw am episode on TLC about a couple who were told they were having twin boys and they ended up having twin girls! So, I know that doesn't happen all the time, but I would just keep that in mind before you go all out painting and buying boys stuff!

C.- I have two boys, and with both, we could see their little jewels right away. I can't remember how far along I was- maybe around 19 weeks?- so I guess that's later than you are- but with our first we were hoping to be surprised about the gender, but we saw his goods immediately! The technician couldn't deny it- she was laughing and saying, "Well, do you want to know?" With number two it was also immediate. And my cousin has a high-risk pregnancy and thus has had many ultrasounds, and early on the doctor said she thought it was a girl, though she couldn't be 100% sure. Now my cousin is 5 months along, and they've confirmed that it's definitely a girl. So... maybe it IS a boy? Good luck with your pregnancy!

Congratulations on your second child to be. My youngest is six months old and I too had an ultrasound at 13 weeks. I was warned that we would very likely not know what the sex would be so soon. But it was very obvious to my husband and myself that we having a boy. The tech doing the ulstrasound even told us we were having a boy. I guess if your dr. says she is not 100% positive yet, it is best not to get too excited. I have heard of the cord getting in the way and causing some to think it is a boy. When will you have another ultrasound?

I was 12 weeks, 6 days when I found out I'm having a boy this time. Boys are way easier to determine and the u/s machines are way better than they used to be. I've never had a friend who was wrong about a boy, but had plenty who were wrong about a girl.
Time will tell, that's for sure. There's no hiding boy parts for long! Tee hee!

Usually, doctors wait a little longer before they confirm gender. Everything is still in its early stages of development, so I think the earliest you can start looking at gender is 16 weeks. I'd wait just to make certain!
