Hi moms
So Im now 7 months pregnant & we still cant agree on a name!!! Ahhhh I can't believe it. We really wanted a girl & now we finally are going to get her & we have no name. I love Natalie Susana. (my cousins baby is Natalia but she lives in another state so I don't care) my husband love Natalie but our families don't like it :( Even our boys say no...so we are still torn. I wish by now I would have picked a name but it is tough. We will have to wait & see till birth day

I am having my last child and it is a boy. My daughter's name is Isabella Mae, and if we had had a girl it would have been Violet James! I love them I think they are beautiful, and special.

Hi E. - I've always loved my name (C.) and several of my friends have used it as a middle name. It's unique and pretty sounded but not too unusual. Congratulations whatever you decide!

I think Susana sounds lovely with all of those as a middle name.
Or my name - a variation - Suzanne

Hi E.,

I like Susana that is an unusual name. What was your sister like? Did she like flowers, was she religious, did she like nature, what music did she like. There is so much to choose from to honor your sister. For example:

Susana Rose A., Susana Violet
Susana Faith A.
Susana Brooke A., Susana Willow
Susana Harmony

Good luck!

What if you combine your name with your sister's and use the other name for middle? Annika Natalie. I also like Brielle, Carys, and Rose. Annika Rose sounds very pretty to me. Anna would be another way to use Susana. I also like the idea of changing Natalie to Atalie or Natalia. Congrats!

I think Susana is a beautiful name, do you not like it as a first name for your daughter? How about a middle name? I also love the name Natalie, and if you're not super close to your cousin, I'd say go for it. I also like Natalia, Natasha, or Talia as alternatives though. I think Susana Talia has a nice ring to it, and it kind of sneaks the name Natalie in there.

I'd personally stay away from Isabella. It's beautiful, but it is so popular now. I literally know 25 little girls named Isabella - I am not exaggerating.

I think Susana is a great middle name - I like Isabella Susana. I like how people call their girls Bella as a nickname for Isabella. Any of your other choices are very nice too, with Susana as a middle name.

Hi, my husband and I are trying for our 2nd child so I have recently been researching baby names myself, I love that you want to add in your sisters name and I happened to look at the name myself. When doing my research I found that Susana also means lily and so I think Audrina lily would be really pretty!

First, my favorite name is Cheyenne Nicole.
Second, this is your child and you get to choose the name. If you are ok w/ using the same name as your cousin than you should do say...Natalie is a lovely name. I do like it better than the others you suggested but that is me and this is YOUR child.
Third, you could use your sister's name as either the first or middle name (maybe Natalie Susana and call her Susana or Susie).

Hi E.. I think your sister's name is beautiful and what a great way to honor her. I am a little partial to Angelina, as that is my mothers name. But really honestly, I think Angelina Susana sounds really beautiful. I also like the idea of changing up Natalie just a little to Natalia, to be different than your cousin. Natalia Susana is beautiful too. Sounds like your leaning towards italian names (I'm italian too, and wanted my girls to have italian name, but went in a different direction) But I loved Karabella or Carabella and Lucia. Santana is cute for a girl too. Congrads to you and your family on your new addition!

Hello, Congratulations on you little girl. I am sorry for the loss of your sister. It would be a wonderful thing to include her name in your daughter's. If you didn't want to use it for the first name, maybe you could use it as the second. An example would be Victoria Susana. It flows well with all of your choices you mentioned.
Good luck with your precious family.

Hi E., picking out names are very important, oh and by the way, no one can tell you you can't name your daughter Natalie because your cousin named her daughter Natalie. I would not chose the name Suzie or Susana, there are more that name giving to honor someone. Im love the name Victoria. I Only have one daughter as well so it took me longer to pick a name for her, but I Chose Samantha, It means listener, and she has always listen very well, her middle name is Ranae, pronounced Renee, but to be different I spelled it Ranae, I love the name Raeana, pronounced Ray Ana, If I would have had another daughter that's what i would have named her. Also Eden Elizabeth is pretty. Victoria Rose, Angelina Marie, even Angelina Rose is beautiful, let us know what you chose. J.

How about Natalia, Natasha, as a version of Natalie. Or Suzanne, or Suzette for Susie. Put the S name first, and then the N name second. And the princes of Europe have about 10 name each - so go ahead and name your daughter as you wish.

The other mom's have some good suggestions. Me, personally, I would avoid anything really wierd or goofy spellings. Put yourself back in 1st grade and imagine the teacher trying to pronounce a wierd spelling and being taunted by all the other little monsters because you have a 'stupid' name ;) Some advice I was given in choosing a name: go out in your front yard, pretend your 5 year old is 1/2 block away, yell his/her name as loud as you can at least 3 times to call her home for supper. If you don't feel stupid yelling that name out loud, then the name is ok : ) !!!!

Hi, I have 3 kids 1 boy and 2 girls and choosing the name for our 3rd child was really hard, but here a suggestion out of the names you have picked narrow it down to 2 with the middle name being your sisters, when your daughter is born look at her first and choose the name that best fits her. i have never decided on a name until i was able to see my kids you will know what name fits her best just by looking at her :) good luck!

My name is H. and my middle name is Sue. I get a lot of compliments. My name is "normal" but not that common. I like it. Also my sister's daughter is Kiley Sue. I love the names Emily, Grace, Emma, Katelyn and Alexis.

Congrats on your girl. I have two boys... so I didnt get to use a girl name. Good luck I am sure you will pick a great name for her!

I love Audrina! I like Victoria too, but Isabella is too popular, and Angelina reminds me of the actress. Maybe Natalia instead of Natalie? Ends in a too like the other names you like! I would do Audrina Suzanne. What was your sister's middle name? I like Susana but not with another name that also ends in a. It's "different" but I knew a girl named Atalie and think it's pretty too. Congrats, baby girls are so fun!!

Any of the names you have listed there would be beautiful with Susana as a middle name (or vice versa). They are all pretty alone, but since they end in "A" and so does Susana, they flow very nicely. (My favorite is Victoria Susana).

I just had a girl, and my favorite name on my list was Eliana. It means "dear child." I thought it was different (I'd never heard it!) but not strange, but hubby vetoed it. :0(

We went with Hayden Elizabeth. Choosing our son's name was much easier for some reason. Good luck and congrats on your baby girl; there's nothing more precious!

Congratulations first of all!! Some friends of ours just had a baby girl 3mos ago, and her name is Isabella Marie, nice flow. Rose is a good middle name for your choices. Or what about a family member, Mother, Mother in Law, etc. Or even yourself. The decision is all you & your Husbands. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't name your baby something because someone else in the family already has named their child that. No one has a patent on names! LoL!!
Good Luck

My daughters name is Alexandra (we call her Alex) and I am pregnant with another girl. Her name will be Rylee.
Good luck, there are a ton of great names out there. Maybe you could think of a few good ones, and then when you actually get to set eyes on her, you could fomally give her a name then. Sometimes, they don't look like the name you want to give them. I also love the name Kendal.

How about Natasha?

On the middle name what about using Sue instead of Susana. The shorter version flows well with the longer first names that you are leaning towards.

Natasha Sue
Victoria Sue

Good luck,

Feel free to make up a name that combines your sister's name and one you love. For example, my uncle and his wife named their daughter after each of their moms. Trinni and Marian became "Trianne."

Or, what about Natalie Sue?

Between you, me and the fencepost, you can name your daughter whatever you want, no matter who in the family has used the name prior to the birth of your child. If you like Natalie, call the baby Natalie. If your cousin has the proverbial cow about it, then she's the one with the problem. No one has exclusive rights to a name. But, that's just my opinion.

Good luck! No one liked the names I choose for my sons, so I have lots of snappy comebacks for the rude commentary you might get.

Steph :)

I love the name Renate (pronounced ray-nah-tah). It would flow with Susana as a middle name, or vice versa.

I also agree that family members don't have exclusive rights to a name. If Natalie is what you really, really want, go for it.

And congratulations on your precious daughter!

I love the name Susie! Names with meaning are so much better than just a name that you like. What a wonderful way to celebrate your sister's life than to name you daughter Susie. I think that is an adorable name!
