Baby Monitor - Hazleton,PA

Use it as long as you want. I have the video monitor and when my 4 year old plays upstairs with his friend, my friend and I can watch and listen when we are drinking coffee downstairs. At night I can hear him just in case he calls for me or has to use the bathroom. I really do not want him walking around in the dark at night.

I STILL use ours sometimes... because, we have upstairs and downstairs.... and when we have play-dates and the kids are all over the place, they can talk to it to call me for anything.... instead of yelling... to me.

Just use it for as long as you see fit.
No problem.
And you do need yours, because of your cats.

Now my kids are 14 and older, it would really be helpful!! lol

The news just had a story on baby monitors sound or a video monitor the all run off the same frequency they showed a guy driving a round w/ a video one being able to hear and see into peo.'s home that use them.
I don't use my sound one because instead of hearing my baby I hear the next door neighbor

I had a video monitor that I loved and used it til my son was 4 or 5--just to keep an eye on him at night, etc.

Depends on the kid. My daughter, I kept one until she was 4.

My son... When we get rid of his crib probably, but still have one right now. Just a sound monitor.

I've never used anything other than a sound monitor.

EDIT TO ADD- We got a crib tent for our son. Initially to keep the cat from climbing in. Now that the cat has passed, our son prefers his crib tent... And it keeps him in his bed. : )

I have a video monitor that I use in the kids room. they share a room and my son is 3 on Monday and my daughter is 5. I will likely use it a few more years til my son is around 5 I would guess. I turn the sound off at night because we have a small house and I can hear them breathing from my room, but I keep the video on so when I hear something I can just look at the monitor and get up if I need to. I never used a breathing one, but I stopped worrying about them stopping breathing around age 1, so I guess if I had one of those, I would have used it til then, but I did not even know about them. Wish I had with my daughter as I was especially worried about her as she was premature and spent some time in the NICU. So basically I would say use the breathing one for as long as you worry and use the sound one until you feel comfortable not using it. Blessings,

We too have cats. We also have poor heat circulation in our house. The boys room gets super cold. We needed to have a door to keep the cats out, but we needed some way to let the heat in. Our solution was to take the wood door off & replace it with a screen door. This has been an excellent solution that has many perks. First, I can peak in & check on the boys any time without opening the door. Second, I stopped using a monitor very early on b/c I can hear them (when they wake up) from anywhere in the house. Its been really great.
