Hello everyone!

We are hoping to get some help with baby monitors. We just moved our baby from our room - to her own room. We are looking for a baby monitor to go in her room - but we ALSO need a monitor to go in our other kids rooms. Our other two kids share a room - so we need TWO MONITORS to be on at night...we have two monitors right now, but they seem to interfere and wont work at the same time.

Thanks so much!
PS. they don't have to be video monitors although I think it would be nice to have a video monitor atleast in the babies room - not so worried about our two older kids room.

What can I do next?

I love the monitor we have. I looked into video monitors but went with Angelcare b/c it has a pad that goes under the bed that monitors the baby's breathing. I was sooo worried about sids and wanted a video monitor but I knew that I would wake up just to check is baby was breathing. I found the Angelcare monitor and never had to worry b/c I knew she was breathing. If the monitor detects no movement for 10 sec it does a warning beep that could startle the baby to make her start breathing and after warning beep it will continue to beep so you know that something is wrong. I knew I had to sleep sometime and I couldn't watch a video monitor all night. Also, if you worry about someone taking baby in the middle of the night the monitor beeps when baby is removed from bed if you haven't turned it off.

I don't know if it will work with your current monitor but I would try it and see. Don't throw away the box. This monitor was prob the best thing I got for my baby and for my own mental health.

There are a few manufacturers that make multi-base baby monitors where you can set up two rooms with bases and have one or two monitors that can be set on the same or different channels for the different rooms....try looking into GRACO or NEXT STEP.

Good luck!

I also have 3 kids in 2 bedrooms. I use these http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/322/...
They have two different channels to avoid interference. The only time they interfere with each other is if I have the two hand held devices right next to each other. They need to be about 10 inches apart to avoid the interference. I can put them both on my nightstand with no problems. I absolutely LOVE these monitors!

I use a summer video monitor for my two childrens room. You can get two cameras and one hand held monitor and flip back and forth from each room. It picks up on noises really well so if I have it on my baby and my son starts to make noises I can hear it and switch to the other channel. I purchased mine on ebay for $130. I had to buy a set which included the camera and monitor and then I bought an extra camera. I did have to check and see which camera's would sync with the monitor I had. I haven't had any problems with it and love it!! I have a 6 month old girl and a two year old boy and it works great in their rooms.
