L.E.
My husband is Irish and he has a nephew back in the UK named Kai (long i sound). I don't know why but I love that name.
Ok. So we(husband and I) are expecting our 4th and most probably our last baby in August. I need some help with babies names starting with a K. My husband and I found a few but aren't 100% set on any.I know it may be a little early to pick names out. We have two daughters named Kelsey and Bethany and a son named Brennan. So this one we agreed on a K if anyone is wondering. :)
Some names we look/came up with are:
Boys: Karter,Kolton,Kolby,Kyler,Karson
Girls:Karalynn,Karly,Kristian,Kassidy
Any other names?
My husband is Irish and he has a nephew back in the UK named Kai (long i sound). I don't know why but I love that name.
Kennedy-boy or girl.
I don't care for a lot if the ones you listed because of the odd spellings and the fact that most are "C" names with a "K" plopped in there.
If you want a "K name" -- use a K name!
Kennedy, Keith, Katherine, Kelly.....
My daughter's name is Kaitlyn and I love the name and spelling.
There's also Khloe, Kayla, Kaylee.
All of the K names you picked (in my humble opinion) should really be spelled with Cs.
Boy names with K:
Kevin, Keenan, Kyle,
boy - Kade, Keigan
girl - Kim, Khloe, Kris, Kourtney.....LOL!
Boys:
Karst (My favorite. Very cute & unique, have only known one other Karst)
Kenneth
Keaton
Kyle
Kale
Kameron
Klayton
Kent
Girls:
Kennedy
Kylie
Kambria (Kamie for short. Went to HS with a Kambria)
Kazbria (Kaz for short...one of my co-workers daughter's name)
Kendra
Kelly
Kristin
Kathrin
Kathleen
Good Luck! Naming them was always THE hardest part for me!
K., of course.
But you could spell it Khrystyn...
Girls - Kelly, Kellie, Kylie, Karen, Kelsey, Katie, Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Kristina, Kristy
Boys - Kevin, Keith, Karl
My daughter's middle name is Katharine. I was hoping for a Margaret AND a Katharine, but knew I'd only get the one girl, so named Margaret Katharine. Turns out she's as fantastic as two or more girls all in one and fills out her own name beautifully.
:)
I'm partial to K..
my daughter is karlee and my niece kayla
Kevin

Katlyn

My favorite K names...
Boy: Karlton
Kanton
Kirkland
Kenner

Girl: Kazia
Kensley
Kasha
Kolby
Kelty
What about Keith for a boy? Not a common name any more and a name that will "wear well" as he ages -- it is suitable for a grown-up and not so cutesy that it will sound juvenile when he's a teen and an adult. That is something to consider seriously.
The K names you list for boys are all going to be misspelled with a C his entire life and he'll be correcting other people forever. I know Carters, Carsons, Coltons and Colbys (Colby is also a girl's name when I've seen it) but Kyler sounds fabricated -- he will be asked "Did you say Tyler?" because that's a much more common name.
Sorry, I just have a thing about names not being ones that make the parents, then the kids, have to correct everyone all the time, and ones that work as well at 20 and 50 and 80 as they do at five. (This is all due to my friend's sister who had the most cutesy-poo little girly name in the world as a child and I cannot imagine her being called that as an adult!)
Same with the girls' names -- they'll be forever misspelled by others as Cassidy, Christian, Carly. I have a least seen Kassidy with a K so that may be becoming more common. Karalynn works well; I've seen that one with a K; and so would Kristin, the Irish name Kirsten, or Karen (yes, Karen; it's now old-fashioned but that means there won't be other Karens around).
A really lovely name that is usually spelled with a K is Kailey (KAY-lee) and that is one you could consider too.
Kevin, Keith, Katherine, Karl (C or K)
Most of the others are simply misspelled C names. Sorry.
Colton, Carter, Carson, Caralynn, Carly, Christian, Cassidy, Colby
Girls: Katrina, Kailee, Kassandra, Katia
I love the name Kennedy For a girl.
Girls: Kallie, Kiera, Kyra, Kylee, Kim, Kimberly, Kristine, Krissy, Kristy, Kayla, Kaylee, Karen
Boys: Kyle, Kevin, Keith, Kenneth, Kenny, Karl
The ones you named would start with a C for me.
I think Kolton goes better with Brennan and Kassidy goes better with Kelsey and Bethany. Kristian is a boys name.
Kaylee, khole, Kailyn for girls
Keegan is the only boy name I can think of CONGRATS on the baby
Is Brennan going to want equal attention for the Bs? Better look up some B middle names! ;^)
Think about:
For a boy: Keith, Kaden, Kingsley, Kordell.
For a girl: Keira, Karen, Kathryn/Katharine/Katherine, Kaitlyn, Katrina.
For either: Kelly
Kendall -girl or boy
Kiera or Kieran would be perfect for you.
In general, I say go with a name that has an established history of being spelled with a K. C names like Carter and Cassidy just look misspelled if they're spelled with a K.
A few other options:
Kai / Keegan / Keenan / Keene / Keats
Kaia / Katarina (Kate/Katie/Katy for short) / Kinary
If you spell names like Carter or Cassidy with a K you (and your child) are going to face a lifetime of constant misspellings, so think about that.
I like Kyle and Kylie.
Boy: Kyle
Girl: Kylie, Kaylee, Kyah
Boys: Kaden, Kaelon, Kale, Keighan*, Kamdyn, Kingsley*, Kennedi*
Girls: Kirsti*(pronounced kers_tea), Kylie, Kimberlyn, Kinsley*, Kalece, Kyah, Karleigh, Kamryn*, Kadence*
Start with a powerful name they can grow into. Those are the best names*
Congratulations :) happy healthy baby.
We named our first daughter Kira and several people have commented to us how unusual and lovely the name is. And I told my husband that if we ever had a boy then I would name him Karl.
My friend's daughter is marrying a boy named Kolden. I love his name.
Boy: Kolden, Kyle, Kieran, Kristian (I like it better for a boy)
Girl: Kameron, Kayla, Kennedy, Kylie
And there's always Kimberly, Khloe and Kourtney! LOL
I just saw below - Keegan was the name I was trying to remember. LOVE that name and I think it really goes with the names you have already: "Keegan and Brennan" and "Kelsey and Bethany" - they have the same ending sounds. Have a happy and healthy pregnancy!
Boys:Krue, Kane, Kash, Knox
Girls: Kristin, Kristine, I dont have too many girl names that havent been mentioned
Kayden, Kyle, Kota, Kevin, kohen (BOYS). Katelynn, kendralynn, karry, Kayla, katisha (GIRLS)
A friend of mine had two girls. She named them Kailynn and Kinley. Oh, and her name is Kristen.
Congratulations, btw!
L.
Girls - Kenzie, Kaylee
Boys - ?
Kellen for a boy
Girl kyra
Best of luck,
L
The best name of all is mine...K.! :)
I like kyler then kolby, karly and kassidy. The others aren't bad just some better with letter c in my opinion! I also like Kathryn, Katerina, Kaitlin, Katy/Kate, kara, Kenzie, kinley, kyla, kingston, kale, kaleb, kellan/kellen, kameron, Kyle.
girls- Kacie, Kare, Kara
boy- Kyle, Kristopher
If the baby is a girl, what about a name that ends in Y like your two other girls? If it is a boy, choose a name that ends with N like your son. That would give them something in common, but a unique name of their own. So maybe Karly or Kassidy for a daughter and Kaden or Kevin for a boy? Congratulations on the new addition to your family.
Kaili (pronounced kaylee)
Kendall
Kellyn
Kaitlyn
Kerrie
Karrina
In my opinion, when you take a boy's name that normally begins with a 'C' and make it a 'K', it seems more feminine.
Boys: Kieran, Kyle
Girls: Kaitlyn, Katherine, Kennedy, Kayla
Kameron
Kate
Kallie
Keenon
I would go with Kaitlyn for a girl. It sounds good with your other kids's names, as they have Irish rings to them.
I like Kaden for a boy. Again, it flows well with your other kids's names and it's a common spelling for the name. With the other names you've suggested, your son would be constantly correcting people who assume Karson is spelled Carson or Kolton is spelled Colton.
In addition to these, I thought of:
Girls: Kaleigh, Kennedy,
Boys: Keegan, Kyle, Keith
Have fun choosing!
How about: Kimberly, Klohe, Kourtney, Kendall or Kylie?
LOL, sorry, could not help it, annyoing, I know ;)
Almost all of these in the list strike me as C names.
How about: Kira (or Kyra) for a girl (and I really truly do like Kendall and Kylie as girl names)
or Kevin, Keith or Kyle for boy?
Girls : Keilani ( said Kaylarni) Kirsten,
Boys : Karn, Klae ( said clay)
Hope it gives you some help
Congratulations!!!!
Girl - Kaci, Kathy, Karen
Boy - Kyle, Kurtis, Kevin,
Kasper, Kaspar, Karla, Kara, Kay
Keri, Kerri, Kerry, Kenton
Kiri, Kirri, Kim,
For a girl - Kasey Colleen. The initals then of the first and middle name are the same as the first name: K.C.
Congratulations!!
Boys:
Keith
Kyle (sorry - personally don't like Kyler)
Kenneth
Keaton
Girls:
Kaylee or Kalee
Kelsey
Kendall (either boy or girl)
Koren (we have a Koren here!)
Kayla
Have fun choosing!
Karis, Kenley and Kylene
Kaleb, Kevin and Korbin ..
Good Luck
I have a Kyle who is 7 and I still love his name :)
For a girl Krista or Kennedy
For a boy Kevin or Kyle
All the best to you, hubby and kids!
Kayden was one I found and considered for my last baby. Wound up being a girl
My name: K. : )
Girls: Kaitlyn, Kristen, Kristy, Katherine, Kayla, Kyla, Kim, Kelly
Boys: Kyle, Keith, Ken, Kevin
Almost every name you listed above, especially the ones for boys, should start with C. People will ALWAYS spell your child's name wrong if you use the above names with a K.
