My daughters name is Kayleigh Jolene, and our son, who is deceased, was named Kaden James. We want to keep the K names going as well as the middle name starting with the J. My husbands name is James. So for a girl name I really love Kalissa Jolie, but my husband says it sounds like clitoris, ugh!! I also Like the names Kadem, and Kason, I think Kadem honors my son but my husband is iffy on it. I also think we want to keep the middle name James for the baby if it is a boy. I would really love any name ideas that start with a K. I dont mind old fashioned, I just want "different". Thanks to anyone who can help! My eyes are killing me from looking at all the books and websites!
WoW!!!! I received a lot of feedback, more then I thought I would, lol! I loved all of the names truthfully. I would have mentioned all of the K names in my family, but we would have been here all day. Thats why it is so hard for me to pick, because everyone in my family decided to do K names! When I was preggo with Kayleigh, I was torn between her name being keleigh, and if she was a boy it was going to be Kameron. My step sis stole the name from me for her daughter, and Kaden meant fighter so thats why we named our son Kaden. SO I think for a girl we will go with either Kalissa or Karissa. My husband loves Karissa so we will see which name fits when sh/he is born, lol. If it is a boy then I think we will stick with Kameron James. Kamden, Kane, Kyle, Kelley, Kerry and a few others were already taken by family, lol. Thanks again for all the ideas, I am overjoyed to read them all!
Here are a few names for you. Kaleb,Kashmere,Kim,KYM,Kamora, kandu, kaykay, kaluha, kelly, Kandice,Kathy mae,Kashe',Keisha,Karen, kamille,Kristy.

Being a teacher, I have come across some really different names. In the past few years, I have had a Kyra, Katherine (she went by Kat in school), Kaitlyn, and Keira. All of them were great kids to work with:) Hope this sparks some ideas.
I am so sorry for your loss of Kaden (I am a loss mom too).
My daughter's name is Kennedi Jean. We call her Kenzie a lot. I also loved Karli.
Boys names I am not so good at... I do like Karson.

We were once in your shoes, finding K names. Are kid's are both K's. Our daughter is Katalaya "Kat"(like the orchid except with a K not C). Pronounced Kat-a-lay-a (short a's). Our son is Kaden "Kade". I really like Kat & Kade. We also loved Kloe,Kennedy,Kiley,Kendall,Kaprice,Karlie,Kadence,Kollin, Kamden,Kameron,Karter,Kash,Kellan,Kason,Karson,Khristian

How about Keegan or Katrina.

Kendall, Korey - boy/girl
I have a nephew named Kohlson. Good luck!
Sorry to say, I can not help with the K baby names. But I thought I would chime in with my two cents on the "Kadem" name. I agree with your husband about being "iffy" on that name. It sounds like a nice gesture to want to honor your child that passed on, but it seems to be to much responsibility on your new child. Your new child should be honored for being themselves and not for being a replacement of a child that was lost. I hope this doesn't seem mean. I am honestly not trying to be and apologize if I am way off base, I just wanted to share how I interpreted your posting. Good luck on the names. My husband and I didn't pick a name for our first child until after he was born. We did have it narrowed down to four names. When my daughter was born we looked for months for a name that we could agree on. I don't think we settled on her name until the week before she came and sometimes I still think she reminds me more of a Claire than what we did name her.
Kerry can be for a girl or a boy. It's actually my daughter's middle name.
Even though it seems you already settled on names, we also went with K names in our family...Kyler and Koen. Good luck and Best wishes.
Hi J., My 2 sons are named Kent Alexander and Kyle Johnathan. Congratulations and good luck with the "K" names!
What abotu Karissa? Used to do gymnastics with a girl and always loved that name. You can morph any name into one with a K. Have a friend who's daughter is Keeley. Kendall is very popular right now (or Kendyl or Karstyn). You can do it with just about anything.
what about Karson or Kaeson and Kaleb or Kameron thoughs are cute but different names i hope this helps some
I tried doing K name bc my husband name is kenneth but the boys names did look right to me GOOD LUCK
Hi J.! For what it's worth, my girls both have "K" names, sort of on accident, but thought you might like them. My oldest is Kyleigh Elizabeth (I noticed you have a Kayleigh which was our original plan but changed at the last minute). My second daughter is Kaycee Ashlyn. We weren't so much looking for a "different" name as a different spelling on a somewhat traditional name. Hope this is helpful to you and good luck!!
A.
I think keeping the middle name James is enough with regard to honoring your deceased son. If it's a girl, you could use "Jayme" or a different spelling of it to keep the "James".
Kristen, Karina, Karissa, Katina, Katlyn, Kristee, Kylee, Kristina, Kendra, or Kassandra (Kassie).
Kenneth, Kirk, or Keith are all the boy names I can think of right now. Hope this helps.
I think Kenneth James sounds great. Some other "J" names would be Joclyn, Jodee, Jayne, Joyce, Janet, Janae (I think this one sounds good w/ several of the above names I listed and my personal favorite)...Jolee, or Joy would all be options.
Kadence, Kalyn, Kortney, Korey, Kasey, Kiley, Khloe, Kennedy, Kameron, Kody, Kyle, Keegan, Keely, Konner, Kassidy,
I like Kendall James (could spell James differently if a girl) for both a girl and a boy. I love boy names for girls - my daughter is Logan. My son's middle name is James as is my father and brother. It's a strong name. I like the idea of keeping James in memory of Kaden. Congrats on your new baby! I'm sure when he/she gets older, they'll love and honor the middle name "James" if you plan to use it. Best wishes!!!!
My son's name is Kenton James. Don't rule out names beginning with C as many can be easily spelled with a K... Karson, Karston, Karl, Kody, etc.
Good luck,
C. (also commonly spelled Karoline)
I have a friend in Canada who also lost a Kayden James. I like to picture them together. I'm so sorry to read about your loss.
I don't really have a suggestion for you right now (way too early for my brain to work ~ lol).
My middle daughter's name is Kassidy. We were doing a "K" thing at first too. My other daughter is Kristin so that isn't really "different" I dont know on boys names. We only have one son and named him directly after his deceased grandfather. I wish you the best of luck!
I did just think of one my nephew is Kieran. It's an irish name and not very common and again I wish you all the luck in the world!
How about Kaylissa Jolie? How about Kamron James - our son is Camron. We have a friend who named their daughter Kendra.
My son's name is is Cameron & I didn't think to do it with a K. So did you have a boy or girl?
Kacie (irish) Janel
Kamila Jade
Kassidy Joy
Kelby Janae
Kendra Jean
Kimberly Jane

I really like Kirby and Kelly but they can go boy or girl and you can always use "Jami" the female version of James for a middle name.

Kane Joel
Keaton Jordan
Keegan Jael
Kendall Jay
Kenyon John
Kincaid

I am not good at putting names together but I like the name Kinsey and if you have a girl you could make the middle name like Jamey or Jaimy however you spell it now a days - but you could use that for a middle name for a boy or a girl and there is the name Kaleb for a boy. Anyhow there are two suggestions for you. However, I honestly believe that when you see your child all planning goes out the window and you know the name he or she should have. Best of Luck

As for the name you have already picked....your husband is silly and it's a very cute little girls name! Hope you pick out something great that you both agree on...keep us updated!!!
As for the boys name, I love to idea of honoring your first son by naming your second son Kadem would be super special!
My youngest son is Cohan.
BUT - the idea came from a little boy named Koen.
I was going to spell it Cohan or Cohen. Cohen is more of a jewish spelling and since we aren't Jewish - I spelled in Cohan. You could spell it Koen or Kohan or Kohen.
I also have a Kade.
My husband's middle name is Kent and I like that name too.
Hope it helps!

I, too, was drawn to K names for some reason. My 8 y/o son is Keaton and my 6 y/o daughter is Kennedy. In my family, there is also a Kori, Kendyl, Kenzie, and a friend named her baby boy Kaleb. There is not another Keaton or Kennedy at either of my kid's schools. I like that they are a little original. Good luck to you! M.
Kieran for a boy.
Karissa or Kiersten for a girl.
Congratuations on the new baby! I am sorry to hear about your son. I like the idea of honoring him, however I wonder how that would affect your child as he grows up. I have came up with a couple of names. We recently moved from England to Ohio, so I do not know how common these names are in America.

For a girl, think about Kendra. Kendra Jolie goes well together. Or Karissa...it is similar to Kalissa, but he can't exactly say that it sounds like clitoris! A friend just named her daughter Kinley. I thought that was adorable too!

My name is K. and you can use that for a boy or a girl with the spelling. Our daughter's name is Katelyn. There's Kelsey, Kimberly or Kristin. There's several websites that I am sure you could do some research. Good Luck! And by the way, K is my favorite letter for names for obvious reasons. :D
My daughters name is Kristal and I have a friend that named her son Kai
What about Keegan James?
My brother plans to name his son Kyan (rhymes with Ryan).
