About a month before my son was born, I stopped at the drive-thru pharmacy to pick up a prescription, probably vitamins, after a tiring day at work. When I tried to start the car again, it wouldn't. You'd think people would stop to help a pregnant lady, but no they just drove around me and acted annoyed. I went inside the pharmacy to use the phone to call my husband(I didn't have a cell phone). He was working across the street, but instead of leaving work to help me he said call the car warranty company. After going back outside to find the warranty info in the car, I went back in to call them. So they wanted to know the mileage on the car. I had no clue what it was(and couldn't look it up because- duh- the car wouldn't start) so the customer service guy suggested a mileage number. I said I wasn't sure, and he said too bad, that meant it was out of warranty and they couldn't help. Meanwhile, my credit card had been denied at the pharmacy, I think I tried a 2nd card and it was denied too, and I was getting confused by talking on the phone and to the store clerks at the same time.
In the end, everything turned out OK. Eventually my husband got out of work, came over and jumpstarted the car for me, yelled at the car warranty people on the phone, I got my prescription and the pharmacy got their credit card machine fixed. But to this day I avoid drive throughs.
