HI! I'm looking for a ballet class for my almost four year old daughter. She loves ballet and 'practices' it all the time. I live in Shoreline and classes at the local Rec. center have already begun. Can anyone suggest another option for ballet classes in the area?

Thanks!

S.

We have tried Creative Dance Center at Haller Lake in NSeattle, it was nice but DD wasn't really into it (this was mom and me dance when she was 3). But I would give them a try.
We also took ballet classes at Northgate community center until we moved. She LOVED it and it is fairly inexpensive.
Mountlake Terrace community center also has a very highly regarded dance program.
Last I checked PNB only offers preschool dance classes in Bellevue - never considered that worth the commute.
Good luck

Ballet academy in Edmonds, by PCC. Camille's dance edge is a bigger studio farther up on 99 in Lynnwood. Alderwood dance spectrum is by Alderwood mall. And consider joining "Edmonds moms" if you're on fb, lots of local recommendations and camaraderie :)

I danced in Renton. I know it is a commute but they had the best class schedules and what not. Maybe if you were up for the weekly drive she would need for class, you could call them and at least get a referral to something closer.

The name of my company was ''British Dancing Academy''

Also PNB has great youngster classes. They may cost alot more then what you would else where. I dance with them for sometime, though and it was literally the best place for a young dancer to flourish. they will have the best training and teachers.

Other places around the area that have reputable courses...Apollo and Evergreen City Ballet.

Realizing she is only four.....but at four I was already pretty set on becoming a ballerina. Let her be as involved in finding a class as you can stand!!

Doing it through the rec center is also a good way to see if it is something she really wants to do.

I had my son enrolled at 4 and well needless to say being the only boy he decided it was not for him.

Good luck!!! Ballet is what shaped the more strict and dedicated side of me. It kept me grounded and made my teen years so much easier....I was dancing 6 days a week so the need for outside friends was not there. My mom liked knowing that if I was not at home I was in the studio or rehearsing for s show!!

My friends kids go to All that dance in Wedgewood. Although my kids do not dance I have been to recitals and they were great. I have heard the teachers are loving and nurturing. check Yelp for reviews too.
