What is the best and most comfortable nursing bra you have had or purchased? This is my second child and I was unable to nurse with my second but am due in 3 weeks and hoping this time around will be better.

What can I do next?

La Leche makes an excellent supportive, soft cup nursing and pumping bra with 2 sets of flaps-one that holds the pump and one that opens fully to nurse. It was my favorite. I ordered it online after the baby was born for a good fit.

Bravado! makes one that has no underwire, an easy to use clip and a removable pad that can help with minor leaks, and is great for t-shirts because the pad provides modesty/nipple coverage.

You can find it easily on line. I am a 32DD when nursing (up to EE) and I wore a medium.

google " Bravado Bliss Nursing Bra " and you will find lots of places that carry it.

I always disliked the nursing bras I was able to find at a local maternity store and was unhappy with the lack of support and the shape given by the ones I used while I nursed him. This time around I found some, believe it or not at target, that have just a little bit of padding and good shape and they make me feel much more comfortable and much mroe confident. I am very happy with them, I thought i would have to spend a fortune over the internet to find what I was looking for. The target brand does also have unpadded nursing bras as well, there are at least 3 or 4 styles to choose from.

It can really depend on the size range you need. I am larger on top and liked Medela (pricey, but not as pricey as some) except that the clasp sometimes came undone too easily if I leaned on something. I also liked some I got at JC Penney, I think they were Playtex or Duo, which were basic soft-cup cotton with a pretty easy clasp. It was my first experience with soft-cup bras and I was surprised at how comfortable and supportive they were. Try several styles on, practice with them a bit, and move around a lot to make sure they'll keep you in place chasing an older child as well. Don't buy too many at first--I lost a decent amount of weight after my baby weight while I was nursing and had to go down several sizes, which got kind of expensive after a while. I also lived in nursing tanks--Liz Lange makes really nice ones for Target--they are great under things, on the weekends, or for sleeping in. I hope this time around is better for you!

Motherhood has nice affordable bras. I have one from them and I also just fold down my normal bras to whip 'em out!
