We want to replace the carpet in 2 bedrooms, my son's and the room we'll use for the new baby. Where are the best places you have found for carpet in the north metro? We are looking at price first; this carpet will probably be replaced again when the kids are older and doesn't have to last quite as long as other areas of the house.

We used Sigstad's Carpet (on Hwy 65 in Blaine) both when we finished our basement, and then again when we put on an addition. At that time, we found that the selection wasn't huge, but it was good enough and the prices couldn't be beat. We also used Empire for our bedroom. We got a GREAT deal on that carpet, because we wanted a higher-end, name brand for that room. I have found that for high-end stuff, Empire has great deals, but for basic, "kids room" carpet, they didn't have anything in our price range. (We used both Empire and Sigstads for our remodel, which was slightly embarrassing when they showed up on the say day for installation and had to "share" the house.:))
