I was wondering if anyone has a miracle solution or product they've tried so that babies stains won't happen with the diaper leaks. I've been using Pampers but should I try Huggies? Thanks ahead for your responses.
I liked Huggies better than Pampers. But if your baby has blow-outs (out the diaper and up the back), it won't matter which one you use.
The dreft stain spray has always worked wonders for me. I'd stop using huggies or pampers or any of thos plastic diapers. They do not breathe and your child will get diaper rash. Check out nature babycare.
So far with 2 kids I've only had to toss 1 onesie - Totally Toddler spray gets pretty much anything out (diaper mess, food anything). I spray and wash in hot water. You can find it at Toys R Us or Babies R Us.

There is NO miracle, except CLOROX SOAKING in hot water, then PURE WATER SOAKING, then your favorite baby soap and softener. I use-to-use Ivory Flakes or Dreft, Downey...they still use this products.
Some babies will have rashes no matter what you do and some won't. There is a diaper powder called Ammens Baby Powder that worked very well, for my very skin sensitive baby boy, who would be soaked from head to toe in the morning.... sometimes more than soaked, and he was not a neglected child. A friend of mine (older and a RN recommended Ammens powder and it was WONDERFULLY)!
My son is long past wet diapers, so I haven't seen or looked for the product in many years. I will this weekend and let you MAMAs know what I find.
I used cloth diapers, disposables (all kinds) but one thing that did help (except for the BLOW OUTS) was diaper liners.....just like panty liners ladies only bigger. Try them.
Oxy Clean powder is awesome! Just soak the clothes in water and Oxy Clean and the stains come out even if you have already dried them. They have Oxy Clean for babies too but I don't think it is worth the extra money, just rinse after you have soaked the clothes and wash as usual in a baby friendly detergent. It's a good idea to try other diapers too, not all bottoms are shaped the same.

I don't know if you have a boy or girl, but what I have found is pampers usually fits girls better and huggies fits boys better. Also, Luvs has really good leak protection-- you may want to give them a shot.

We used huggies and didn't have very many problems with leaks. When we did, we usually just went up to the next size and the leaks stopped. For the stains, very hot water and oxy clean or spray n wash worked for us. For some reason, I could not get poop stains out with cold water, and by accident tried hot water, and it came right out. Also, the quicker you get it washed, the faster the stain comes out, so fill a bucket with hot water and toss the stained clothes in with some oxy clean and let them sit. I have better luck with the bucket method than adding the oxy clean to the wash. I have even had success using the cheap oxy clean from the dollar store, so you don't have to spend a lot of money either.
