Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on a Bible School program for a six (almost 7) year old? I'm not familiar with any of the churches in the Shawnee area, although I did pick up some info about Westside in Lenexa...but I'm not sure if they have Bible School or not? Thanks ;)
Thanks everyone! I am checking into several of the bible schools mentioned. I am thinking of sending him to a couple because he needs to stay busy this summer. Just trying to figure out which ones will work for our summer schedule. Thanks again!
GracePoint off Johnson Drive and Martindale is having their's July 16-20. It is at night, 6:30 to 8:30. It is a great church with lots of kids that age. Check out their website at www.kcgracepoint.com

I belong to Mill Creek Community Church in Shawnee just west of K-7 & 83rd St, on Gleason. Our VBS is July 9-13 this year, and is open to ages 4 on up to 6th grade. Here's their website:

As far as regular Christian schools, there is Maranatha Academy near SMPkwy & Lackman.

My family and I go to Antioch Family Worship Center, or Antioch Church. We are the big church on the hill at I-35 and Antioch just East of Shawnee. It's a modern, non-denominational church. It's awesome! We've been going for 4 years and love it. Our VBS is next week from the 12th - 15th. They are doing a Galilee by the Sea theme this year and every day the children will get to dress the era as part of their lesson. It's from 9 - 12. If you want a slightly smaller church, there's Nall Avenue Baptist Church located at 67th and Nall. My daughter went to their Christian based daycare for the longest time and did cheerleading there for Upward's basketball this winter. It's a great church with very loving people. Their VBS is this Sunday the 10th - Thursday the 14th and you can go to their website at www.nallave.org. There VBS is at night, from 6-9 and it is a sports theme this year.
Hope this helps!! We used to live in Shawnee on the East side and both churches are within reasonable distances. If you are on the west side, however they will be quite the drive.
