I just started on Desogestrel-Ethinyl Estrad little over 2 weeks ago. My boyfriend came inside me a week ago, I continued taking my pills as usually until the 2nd day after that I forgot to take it in the morning. I took it later that afternoon and continued taking it in the morning again, ever since I've had adominal pains just above my hips. Is this normal, or should I be worried?

What can I do next?

How would we know whether it is normal for your hips to hurt?

Well, seems like you are worried--since you're asking.
How about a call to your doc?

If you're asking if you could be pregnant, highly unlikely.

If you're asking if taking birth control pills a few hours later could cause hip pain, no it can't.

If you're asking another question, please be more clear.

First of all hopefully you started your pills correctly on the right day in your cycle so that they are working effectively. (Read the package insert.)

If you started them correctly and only missed one dose by hours...odds of you being pregnant are whatever they are for the pill 1-2% give or take if taken correctly.

If you did not start them correctly or missed more doses than you have indicated, then you could very well be pregnant.

Pain is usually an indicator that something is wrong, so if it doesn't get better call your doctor. And to be on the safe side wait another 2 weeks and take a pregnancy test.

Good luck!

You're supposed to use another form of birth control for the first month of starting the pill or starting a new brand/type of pill.

Take your pill every day, use condoms or abstain until your first period. If you're late, take a test or call your doctor.
