Birthday Party Ideas for a 5 Year Old Girl

I recently had my daughters 5th birthday at a local park. We rented the shelter that was next to the foam floor playground, and had her entire preschool class over for the party. It was easy because it wasn't a big crowd at our house, and it was very inexpensive. We had cake, Ice cream cups, pretzels and Doritos, then played a few games. (water balloons, and a ballon popping game. The mostly played on the play area, and we all had a great time, easy clean up!

For my daughters 5th birthday, we had a Hannah Montana birthday party at a bowling alley. Bowling is actually now that expensive and it gives everyone a fun activity to engage in and still able to mingle. We did provide pizza and drinks for everyone, in addition to the cake. It was probably one of our easiest and least expensive birthday parties that we have had so far.

If you can't stand to have people at your home, you could try a park setting and get a jolly jumper for the party-goers or you could always see if there is a public pool that you can rent out for a private party. That way no one outside the guest list can come in and confuse the situation. Or you could see if they do private parties at the Omaha's Children Museum or the local bowling alley.

There is no reason why she cannot have the party at home with just the kids that are invited. Make a note on the invitation that says "drop off child at x time and pick up at x time".....I have done it myself , my house is just not big enough for all those people at one time , I had a couple of friends stay to help with supervision and that was it except for the kids , I allocated a 2 hr time slot for the party , we had some crafts , a game of pass the parcel , pizza , cake and then free play until they were picked up. If the weather allows you could open up the yard so they can go outside.

i googled 'girls party places papillion ne' and there is a place called Jumpin Jax Bounce & Party place. Would that work. It sounds like places that we have here. They are fun for all ages, and you don't have to do anything but show up with a cake!

I totally agree with Kate - make it a drop off party. Much less entertaining for you, the kids will play together great, do some "old fashioned" party games (musical chairs, freeze dance, pin the tail on the donkey) feed 'em, give 'em cake and send 'em home. My daughter's 5th was a drop off party and I'd do it again in a second! Good luck!

What about a park? We rented the pavilion, it was 25 dollars. I decorated it, bought pizza and juice boxes and water bottles, had some chips and pretzels out. We had a pinata and played pin the nose on elmo and the kids all played on the equipment while the parents all talked! It was a good time and clean up was much easier than the other parties we have had at our home! Good luck!
