As far as I know, you don't. Its the kids who were invited to the party and they're the ones you should be most concerned with. If nothing else there is always the option of finger food. You can bring a few platters of sandwhiches, veggies and maybe some cupcakes. No adult/parent goes to a childrens party @ a play place and expects to be fed.

Dont fret my friend, its the children you cater to.

No, I do not think it's rude. This is for the kids and if the adults want to eat they can walk up and buy for themselves. I only have an 18 month old so maybe I just don't know yet but if my child were invited I would not expect to be fed, just her.

Good luck!

I agree you don't have to buy for the adults. At 7 I wouldn't be surprized if most adults don't stay, unless you specified that they had to.

I have been to a party where a parent picked Pizza and case of pop or water for the mom's. Most mom's dont expect to have their meals paid for, but if you feel uncomfortable stating that it is only for the kids then maybe pick pizza and the moms who dont want it can pickup their own MCDonald food.

I agree that the parents are not your guests. You can have a great party on your budget. Have fun!

I would think most adults would not expect you to pay. I don't think it's rude at all.

good luck

It is totally NOT rude to not buy the parents' lunches. Nobody (in their right mind) would expect you to. It is a kids party and hence, you have no obligation to feed the adults. Have a great party!! :)

Do not think twice about feeding the adults. Your party is for the kids and you shouldn't be or feel obligated to feed their parents.

I had my son's birthday at McD's last November. I don't think it is rude not to buy anything for the adults at all. The parents mostly just talk to each other about how cute the kids were (they were 4 and 5 year olds). You may find that not all the parents stay for the party and just drop off their kids and return after the two hours to pick up their kids. For the ones that stay I would say you have no responsibility to entertain or feed them.

Have fun at your party.

Hi,

Not rude at all the parents I am sure know that the party is for the children. They are there just to see their children have a great time. Don't worry.

Just remember that this is a child's birthday party. Feed the children, the adults can take care of themselves. I wouldn't expect for the Host Parent to purchase my meal. Have a great time and good luck!!

I don't believe it is rude at all! It is a party for the kids and if the parents want to get something...they are more then welcome to grab something themselves! I have had many kid parties for my 9 yr old at pizza places, McD's, JumpNFun, etc. and I have always just gotten for the kids and offered the adults if there were leftovers. I have been to parties with my kids like this and I have never felt leftout or slighted! Hope that helps and hope it's a really fun party!
