Bleeding Between Periods - While on the Pill - Pregnant?

I am freaking out just a little right now. I am on the pill - my husband and I absolutely cannot afford any more kids so I am sure never to miss a pill. I was sick recently and on anti-biotics and steroids (for my lungs). I wasn't really thinking about how this might affect the birth control pill when my husband and I finally (after about a month) had some "adult fun" Anyway, this fun happened to fall right around the 14th day of my cycle which of course is the best time to get pregnant. The next day I started spotting a little and now 2 days later I am still spotting just a little. When I got pregnant with my baby, I did spot right afterwards. Could the medication have interfered with my birth control pills that quickly? Could I be pregnant again? Obviously it is way too early to take a pregnancy test. I would have to wait another couple of weeks for that. What do you think?

ETA - I have been on this BC pill for a year and a half and this has never happened before.

What can I do next?

Antibiotics can affect the pill. You may want to ask your doctor what you should do -- it's possible to get pregnant that way, and if you are, you may not want to be taking the pill. It's also possible that you're simply spotting because that happens to some people on the pill -- you haven't said how long you've been on that pill -- and the fact that you were taking other medications could have affected the pill in a way that caused breakthrough bleeding.

That happened to my sister. She was on the pill and was on antibiotics. She ended up getting pregnant but because she wasn't trying or thinking she could be pregnant she kept taking the pill. At about 3 months pregnant she started bleeding super heavy and having lots of cramps. She had miscarried due to becoming pregnant but still taking the pill. So I don't know what you want to do. You could be pregnant but if you are still taking the pill it can cause you to miscarry.

I have breakthrough bleeding sometimes too. Either when I'm way stressed about something or if I happen to skip a pill. Just incase, I would take a PG test for confirmation. Good Luck!

I'd stop the pill until you confirm that you're not pregnant. But the spotting could be due to the fact you haven't had "adult fun" in a month and your body is just responding to that.
