Body Resetting After Childbirth?

What happens to your body after childbirth? It's been about 7 months for me, but I'm just wondering what happens when your body resets itself?
My hips and lower back have been hurting so bad the past few days. I have been feeling extremely nauseous. I have been getting headaches. I've had some cramping.
Has anyone else gone through this after childbirth? I'm not sure if the hormones coming out are causing my body to go back to normal or if it's just something random. I guess I could be pregnant, but as of yesterday I had a negative test.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I would def see a chiropractor. Sounds like a little adjustment might be what you need to get back on track. Feel better soon!

Acupuncture at 6 weeks helped a lot with all of that.

I TOTALLY know that feeling!

My pelvis was locked and I felt hoooorrrrible for weeks. I finally when to the chiropractor and just needed adjusting. I could barely move before the appointment and left bouncing out the office. LITERALLY!

Depends on whether you are breastfeeding or not... breastfeeding helps your body 'reset' in a more gradual nature which is a bit more pleasant - it keeps up the happy and love hormones which causes most pain to not be noticeable (except for the uterine contractions of going back to normal). The longer you breastfeed the easier it SHOULD be. If you are still nursing and feeling this way - check your body ergonomics. Are you picking up things the right way, are you over extending your legs, hips and back when bending over?

Not breastfeeding makes everything like a severe cold turkey. Your hormones and metabolism are forced into a steep change and the back and forth severity of it may cause body and head pain - as well as other little things that definitely add up.
