My absolutely favorite is almond oil + sugar

1 Cup Almond oil
1 cup white granulated sugar (i guess brown sugar would do the same trick--and probably smells more delicious!)

Mix together and scrub yourself silly. I also apply the almond oil to my skin while it's still damp after the shower to really seal in moisture

Use plain white sugar and an inexpensive olive oil. Enough to fill whatever container you plan to keep the scrup in. (I like to make about 2 cups at a time.)

Put the sugar in a glass mixing bowl. Slowly stir in just enough olive oil to coat all the sugar without it pooling. Add in a few drops of your favorite essential oil and stir again. I think peppermint or lavendar are best .. but that is just opinion. Keep the container in an area that won't be indirect sunlight or near too much heat so that the oil keeps longer. I keep mine in a bathroom cabinet. It should last quite a while. If it starts to smell weird, the oil has gone bad and you should make a new batch. I keep a much smaller container of the scrub right in the shower. That way that little batch gets used up quickly and I don't have to worry about accidentally getting water into the big batch and ruining it.
Enjoy.

Since you cannot use almond oil, try grapeseed oil. It is a little pricey but a little goes a long way. I do not like the smell of olive oil so I just mix a little brown sugar, vanilla, and grapeseed oil.

I have found that plain old salt is fantastic if youre only looking to exfoliate, put it in with your body wash, you can even use plain salt on your face and the wash with your cleanser.
