I am just curious I know everyone is different... I am due with # 3 in a few weeks so far I am at the weight where I was when I delivered my last two and I still have 2 months left! The weight came off easily with my other pregnancies, however, my body changed so much after my first child that my cloths never fit the same and had to get all new stuff. After my second child, I didn't think my body changed much from the way it was. I was able to fit into my old pants and shirts. I am just curious how you mommas felt after the 3rd baby? I am wondering if my hips will get larger or if the weight will be harder to take off? Not crazy about bathing suit season approaching shortly after birth ;)

What can I do next?

Sadly, I have still not lost the wt after #3. He is now 6 years old. It was not too hard to lose after #2. But darned near impossible after #3 for me.

I'm 40, and after 3 kids, lots of exercise and food discipline, my body is pretty much the same as it always was except for my new friend, the belly who always wants to puff out the minute I slack. My best friend, same age as me, has the same issue now, and no kids! I think your body changes kids or no kids if you don't bust hump to keep your muscle tone and lose the weight constantly.

Well, I managed to get back to pre-pregnancy weight after the 3rd, but it was a lot slower than it had previously been. Typically before, I lost about 8-10 lbs a month (really working at it, dieting and exercising), with the third it was about 4-5 lbs a month (really working at it!), some months with nothing at all. I also had 2 C-sections, so that could have something to do with it. My belly will never look the same after the C-sections. But I can fit in my old clothes!

I actually went back to my pre pregnancy weight and I have had three, I didn't go back to pre pregnancy with my first two and my little one is only 9mo old right now.

It was easier with the first two but most of the weight finally came off with the third. Part of mine may have been that I was 42 when I had my third-so that slowing metabolism came into play. But I am 5'4" and have pretty much stayed between 122 and 129. When I'm at the lower end my face looks a little gaunt now. When I'm at the higher end, my stomach and behind are a little MORE! I'm 55 now and need to stay pretty close to the 125 weight to keep the right balance of in shape but not too thin.
It can be done and no matter what-your body changes as you get older. I get together with friends from high school and the three women that haven't had any children are definitely in worse shape than I am. It's genetics and determination that play into it as much as those babies!

I'm on my 4th pregnancy...due in 2 1/2 months. My pregnancy weight has always come off because I worked hard to get it off. The only thing I have ever noticed that changed somewhat is my hips. They got slightly wider but interestingly enough, I heard a very good report on the radio several years ago that said that it does not matter if a woman has a baby or no baby...the shape of her body will change because of age. I really didn't notice a change in my hips after my first born but noticed it over the years...and like I said, I'm pregnant with my 4th so I cannot say with 100% certainty that having children had anything to do with it. AND, I've never given birth the natural way (vaginal). They all have been c-sections as will this current pregnancy be a scheduled c-section as well. It takes work to get the weight off and I do have to say that toning those muscles after all the weight is off will make a world of a difference. You can't just lose the weight. You have to tone the muscles too. If I can do it and I have friends who have done it too, then any woman can do it. You just have to have to want a good looking body bad enough to put the work in that is required.

Well everyone is totally different but it is actually easier for me to lose weight since I have had my 3rd! I am 5'4 and have always weighed around 130-135, got up to 180 with baby 1 and 2 so its not like I didn't gain pregnancy weight. I did gain less with my 3rd but I also lost so much quicker. I weigh 117 now and I can basically eat whatever I want (in moderation) whereas before I struggled to maintain 130. I was a heavy child and always had issues with my weight. And no I do not have a thyroid problem, something about that third baby just "shifted" my body somehow... maybe you will be the same :)

You really cant blame weight on pregnancy. You can blame loose skin on your stomach and stretch marks but you cant blame weight. A baby weighs between 6 and 10lbs. You get a little swollen, have the amniotic fluid, a puffy, blood engorged uterus and your boobs get a little meatier. If you gain more than 30lbs you have really gained too much. I gained about 35 both times I was pregnant and lost it all within 3 mos after their births. There was no way I was gonna stay fat and flabby. Lots of us girls use pregnancy as a reason to eat more and just be lazy, naturally you arent going to burn off the calories. I hear moms blame their kids for their weight all the time, and I really think that is an unfair statement to make to your kids.
Your hip bones and pelvis move some... so yep, your shape gets a little bit distorted from the original but not too much. I agree with the other poster that said you just get a little older and stuff happens anyway whether you have children or not.
