Hi- I have 2 boys, ages 18 mo. and 3 and could use some good strategies for dealing with their behavior. Any good book recommendations for me would be helpful or which one would you recommend the most. Thanks!

I love 1-2-3 Magic and Talk so Your Children will Listen and Listen so Your Children will Talk. A lot of people also like Love and Logic but I haven't tried that one.

The Happiest Toddler on the Block...it is both in book and DVD form. I started reading the book and it is great, but I don't have much free time to read, so I am picking up the DVD from the library today. Can't wait to get it!!

ETA: I am also picking up Love and Logic...I have tried 1-2-3 Magic, but my oldest son is too stubborn for it. It only works some times. I also have "How to Talk So your Children Will Listen..." but I haven't gotten very far into it yet.

I LOVED Easy to Love, Difficult to Disciple by Becky Bailey. I found it to be very practical with lots of concrete information in it.

When my son was about 18 months, I realized that I was overmatched. Even though I have a masters in education, and taught for 8 years, I did not have the skills I needed for him.

I found myself running out of options for dealing with his behavior, and was so frustrated.

The book helped me to think through his behaviors, and have a plan of what to say and do. His behavior did get better, but mostly I felt more confident in my ability to address his actions.

Back to Basics Discipline by Janet Campbell Matson. I have 3 under 5 who need almost no discipline thanks to this gem. Even my born terror who is now a fantastic 2.

I second "1 2 3 Magic." Our pediatrician recommended it and it's worked well for my 2 year old. It might be a touch early for you 18 month old, but I'm sure he'll catch on fast, especially if you are using it with both of them.
