Boppy, Bumbo, and Costumes

I am in a search for a few different items. I don't want to buy the infant items brand new as they are way too much and this is our last child (3rd) so I know we won't be using it very long. Anyways, i'm looking for a girly bumbo seat, boppy with cover(s) and costumes in sizes 3T/4 for a boy, 4T/5 for a girl and possibly 0-6mos for a girl. I'm going nuts trying to find something affordable for them to wear for only a few hours obviously....this is why i don't want to buy brand new at expensive pricing. If anyone can help us out with something cheap or even just to borrow for the night...or if it's the infant items just borrow for a few months. We have no problem returning them as we won't need them after she's done. Thanks.

What can I do next?

There is a real nice rummage sale on the 27th of Sep. by the Park Ridge newcommers club. You can get items like costumes for a few dollars. I buy cloths and then sell them back the next year. Let me know if you want the details.
Good luck.

Sign up for freecycle, freesources and dupagecountyparent swap. It's a recycling site where people give stuff away, and you can get rid of stuff. You can get a lot of good stuff for free. I've received some winter boots for my kids, halloween costumes for 2 years for both of them, christmas tree, toys, sleeping bag, etc. I've seen people give away a car, computers, furniture and a lot more stuff.
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/, then search for freecycle, freesources groups in towns in your area. Just type in your town, sign up and have fun. It's an awesome site! You get a lot for free and by recycling you help save the environment!

I have a boppy that you can have if you want it--no covers though. I am in Naperville. Would it be worth the trip?

I agree with Yvette - www.freecycle.org is a great organization. It will take you to yahoo groups, but you sign up for only what is in your area...it's a way for you to get rid of items you don't want to throw away becayse they're still in decent shape as well (and know you aren't going to get much from a thrift store for it) and you can get some of the items you're looking for as well...not just these, but more as the year(s) go on! Try it out, it's free and you have nothing to loose (except the items you don't want anymore anyway)

I have recently had good luck at a few resale shops. I got an adorable costume for my 3 year old at "Good Cents" in Geneva, and a few small pieces of baby equipment at Once Upon a Child (they also had a lot of costumes). I have the cheaper version of the Bumbo seat, called Bebe Pod. I bought it at Babies R Us and we love it. I know what you mean- gotta stretch those dollars these days!
