Hi. I am having my sons first birthday at a local pool. I wanted to do a ducky theme because of the water. Does anyone know where i can find supplies that say 1st birthday or have any other ideas for a summer 1st birthday. I found online a site that has some ducky stuff but it only says 1st bday on the plates and i really wanted it on more like the napkins etc. Please any help would be great! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Try www.BirthdayExpress.com

I just threw away a magazine that did all kind of personalizing and for the life of me can't remember the name of it, but the above website should help.

I usually buy my stuff at birthdayexpress.com too. If they don't have it there, it probably doesn't exist!

Check this out too - these ducks float and also snap together to form trains, sequences, etc. They would be a great party favor (a few to each kid), cute decorations, and/or you can make fun games with them at the party.
(It's on page 12 of the link, called Snappy Ducks)

Oriental Trading Company has TONS of ducky stuff. Also check out the site www.birthdaypartyideas.com - there is a kids section, and you can click on the rubber ducky theme and get tons of ideas.
I had a duck theme for my sons 1st bday, 5 years ago. I got tons of rubber ducks for our (backyard) pool, kids sun glasses that looked like 2 ducks face to face, and duck partyware.
I got clear plastic tumblers, and made blue jello in them, and put whipped cream on top, then added candy rubber ducks (Wilton makes them, available in the cake aisle of most craft stores) on top. I took my big, glass punch bowl and put lemonade with lots of blue food coloring (turned out turquoise) and a rubber duck floating on top (you could also use blue Kool Aid of course). Had a kiddie pool with rubber ducks in it, with colored dots on the bottom like they do at carnivals, and kids got to pick from the prize bucket that coordinated with the color on the bottom of the duck.
It is a great theme, have fun with it!
