Hi G.,
There is a Breast Cancer/Thrivers meetup group. They may be able to refer you to some help.
Hope this helps. Good luck. D.
Hi G.,
I personally have never had it, but my mom's mom & about 5 of my distant female family members on my mom's side have all had BC, my granny twice, 1 of my cousins 3 times. So, keep your head up. Each of my family members that have had it in the recent past have all survived. I will pray that God takes care of you & heals you fast! I know that it will be a hard road, just keep your eyes on the goal & keep truckin'! Good luck & God bless!
Hi G.. I hope all is going as well as can be with your chemo. A great place to find other women with breast cancer is at CureDiva.com. There is even a place where you can get your own Guardian Diva who has gone through the same thing and can offer tips and advice.
My cousin and I both have had breast cancer and had two different reactions to the chemo. We were both stage two. Have they told you if anything was showing in your lymph nodes? Anyway my cusin had a really hard time she was really sick with it and that could have been due to her diet at the time or just her sensitivity to the treatment . I'm not sure. I had very bad indigestion all the time but not so bad I couldn't handle it. I would decide I wanted something to eat and send my husband to go get it and then after eating one I wouldn't want it any more. One food I found kinda soothing was fruit flavored yogurt. My five year aniversary iscoming soon and I'm really thrilled. Jan 21, 2009 is the five yr mark since I had my last treatment for the cancer. Te radiation was harder for me because I was allergic to the tape they put over the marks to keep them from rubbing off. Everywhere I had the tape I got a minor burn mark and it caused me to get yeast infections underneath my breast all the time. My cousin being smaller did not have that problem. Basically it is a little different with each person. Also contact the American Cancer Society and they will assign someone to support you and speak with you that lives in your area.
I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I don't have it but I know people who have gone and are going thru what you are going thru. I just wanted to tell you that you and your family will be in my prayers and I will pray specifically for strength for you to fight this cancer. Good Luck with chemo.
