T.,

I am a home day care provider and have built my own webiste, www.mtckc.com. I do that on the side. I also advertise many ways. I use the star telegram for free on line, I have magnits for my car, business cards for people who see me all over town and ask for my card b/c we are in the middle of a lighted intersection and can't talk, etc.... If you need help, just email me and I will try to answer more questions or if you would like help building the website. I am also the webmaster to my kids school website, www.flintacademy.com.

I had a home daycare after leaving my teaching career when my daughter was born until my home business took off.
A good way to advertise is through the local MOMS Groups, they have newsletter monthly and it is only $5 for a biz card size also www.craigslist.com and similar site have free online listings. Church bulletins are great as well.
I help other moms earn extra monthly income without selling or stocking products. It goes great with home daycare to bring in extra money. Let me know if you ever want to hear the details and good luck with your advertising :) M. www.BeHomeToo.biz
PS vistaprint.com is a great place for cheap biz cards and magnets, free for 250 you just pay the shipping

Hi T., You should join an association; they have referrals which can really help. Also, look at www.metrodaycare.com. They are a website that help day cares advertise.
Good luck.

Hi T.,
I have an inhome daycare and made my own website. I went to www.blogger.com Its free and its a great way to post pictures, or put info up about your daycare. I also have a list of people on there that do daycare in the area that I refer people too. I'm not that great about keeping up with it but it can also be a great tool to communicate with the parents. My parents will tell their friends and family so that they can see current pictures when I post them. Mine is www.kidsinbloom.blogspot.com You could also do a myspace account which would allow you to be a little more creative. You can set it to private so that people have to ask permission before they see it, or just keep it so that your parents can take a look. If you decide to do it and need some help you can email me directly. My contact information is on my blogsite! A.
