Hi...My daughter's 7th Birthday Party is Sept. 30 and I was wondering if anyone could refer a place that makes yummy cakes in Cypress area. We like our icing on the light and fluffy side...like whipped cream! Also, is there a place online I can make my own invitations? Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I used Nutmegandco.com for the cake and talk about "yummy"!!! I got the chocolate truffle cake. "mmm mmm good!!!" The owner's name is Megan and very nice. Thank you for this referral. I will buy her cakes again!!!

Dear Deborah,

I'm not sure if you're a Costco member, but we just LOVE their cakes! They are only $14.99 - for a huge sheet cake. Our favorite is to specify chocolate cake (with whatever flavor mousse you want in the middle) with cream cheese icing instead of the whipped or buttercream icing (we don't like store made buttercreams because they're full of shortening, not really butter). Anyway, they're so good!! Everyone is always amazed at my reply (and the cost) when they ask me where I get the fabulous cakes.

Another place I want to try is Nutmeg & Co... http://nutmegandco.com/page8.html because it is owned by a local homeschool graduate (and I'd love to support her endeavors!). Check out her site - her cakes look beautiful!

I hope your daughter has a fun birthday!
Blessings,
R.

Hey there!

I don't know about the invitations but I might look on ebay... as for the cakes, a woman at my church does them out of her house which cuts down on costs so much and she makes amazing cakes!!! You can check out her website at www.divaofcakes.com!

Hope that helps

I always liked cakes from RJ Goodies on Louetta. And there is a cute Hallmark type store called The Write Touch or something like that at Grant and Jones in the Randalls shopping center if you want priinted invitations.
