We are relocating to Orlando. Do you recommend any private schools? We are hoping for a Catholic school. Your advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We recently relocated to Orlando, too and have enrolled both of my daughters into St. John Vianney Catholic School. So far we enjoy and my second grader LOVES it. It does appear that most of the Catholic schools here are good and even Blue Ribbon holders. I do think it will mostly depend on where you will be living. Best of luck.

My entire neighborhood goes to St. Margaret Mary in Winter Park. From what I can tell, it has very involved families -- an entire network. There is also one of a similar name in Maitland.

p.s. I wanted to mention that if you from outside the area, and you are buying in Winter Park, you don't need a private school. All the schools in Winter Park are extremely good.

My co-worker has two schools that his daughters attend. One is an elementary school that starts at Pre-K called St. Charles and the other is a high school called Bishop Moore.

These schools are right next to each other on Edgewater Road in Orlando.

There is also a very good Catholic School in Winter Park called St. Mary Margaret. It is on Park Ave.

We go to Annunciation Catholic Academy in Longwood/Altamonte area. We absolutely love it. All the Catholic schools in our areas are good; it just depends on where you are moving. Do you know the area where you are buying? The house across the street from me is for sale.:)

C.,
There are several catholic schools in orlando area. Our church is in the process of looking to build one too. With that said many areas of Orlando have fabulous public schools. My daughter has been in public school since kindergarten; she is now 3rd grade and reading at 7th grade level and has always made straight A's. We live in Oviedo which has excellent schools.
