Dear Moms,
I am interested in putting my child in Day care and I was wondering if any of you had any experience both good or bad with the following day care centers:
-Carpe Diem
-Creme de la creme.
Also what is the ideal age of putting a child in Daycare? My daughter has been staying at home since birth. Thank you so much

Haven't had expierence with either. DO you work anywhere near Rockwall? I offer home daycare at my home if you are looking for a "HOME-LIKE" feel for your daughter. I only care for 2 children other than my own 2. 2 of the 4 children go to school though. Let me know if I can help. Thanks.

Hi! I have 2 friends that use Carpe Diem and absolutely love it! When I was initially researching daycare, we lived in Arlington and we checked out Creme de la Creme in Southlake.....that place was excellent and we would have chosen it had it been closer to our home. I like the educational approach they take (both places). The cost is so high though. I now stay at home full time (went back to work for 2 months). I am not sure what age is good to place in day care. I think the main concern at this point would be the stress associated with seperation anxiety. Anyway, hope this helps!

I have a BS in Elementary Education...but I do not work because I right now I am SAHM...of a 3 1/2 year old. Are you wanting full time or part time for your little one? If you are wanting part time I would 100% say that you need to put her in a mothers day out...its cheaper (alot) and its really quality care. Your child is 13 months old does NOT need day care everyday full days...you can google "age appropriate" and "social needs" of children that age and there will be tons of information out there for you to read. My philosophy is that children need some interaction...but that the interaction should not be more time then that child spends with their parent(s). Everyone needs to decide what works best for their child and their family...just giving my personal/professional opinion. I hope you find what works best for your family :)

I started my son in childcare at 1 and 1/2 years of age. It was an ideal time because his curiosity of the other children over-shadowed his sadness of me leaving him, which worked out pretty well. We tried Creme de la Creme in Richardson for a while. It was okay, but my first choice had originally been The Primrose School of Breckenridge Park (also in Richardson). After a month at Creme de la Creme, we were informed of an opening at Primrose, so we took it and never looked back. My son attended Primrose for almost 4 years and I have to say that it was one of the best decisions we have ever made as parents. They have highly experienced teachers and the curriculum is one of the best in the area. Visit www.primroseschools.com for a location near you. Good luck!
