Childcare in Baton Rouge

I have a 13 month old at Family Christian Preschool. Absolutely love it. It's not a baby depot. They have a HUGE room to play in all day with lots of CLEAN toys. My daughter loves it. She went to Calvary and hated it she would cry every time I would drop her off there. So I set off one day and went to every daycare in the Perkins Road/Airline Hwy area and heard alot about Jimmy Swaggart but was very hesitant at first but when I walked to see her class room I was amazed. The teachers there are great.Not a big turn-over. She doesn't cry when I drop her off and that is a true blessing and a peace of mind. She is clean every afternoon. The teachers interact with the students they dance, sing, and play. They have her on a great schedule and stick to it. Hope this helps!

I have my son at Country Manor Day School. He is almost 16 months and he's been there since right before he was one. It has really helped him be more sociable- he's willing to let me leave the nursery at church, too. They have lots of play time and learning time. Each day I go in there I'm suprised to see his teacher actually sitting down with his class (of 7 or 8) and reading to them or doing flashcards or whatever. It's great!! I didn't expect that for a one-year old class. And it's not over-priced. That was my big thing. I'm a single mom, in school full time, and working part time. My dad passed away 11 years ago and my mom just did in September- that's why I had to put him in daycare. She had been helping me out before that. It has made it easier and they are good at making your feel at home. The one I use is located on Old Bluebonnet- at the deadend. There is another one, though! Good luck
