We have a piano that needs a good home. It has one bad roller on one leg but other than that is in great working order. You would have to provide removal transportation and manpower. It is an upright in a light Walnut wood. It was donated by a family and they want to make certain it goes to a good home or church. So, please send me your requests. We'll review them and let you know if you get this free and wonderful piano.

So What Happened?

Hi,

Piano was taken by an extended member of the donating family. Sorry to all who gave us such great responses.

Hi B.,
What a wonderful thing to do! I am a second time mom meaning my husband and I adopted our granddaughter at 8 weeks old and she is now about 5 years old. We recognized before she was one that she has a musical gifting. I have asked of my music pastor what I should do to grow this in her and he told me that piano lessons are fundamental and from there to let her grow either into vocal or stay with instrumental. She loves to sing and surprises us all the time with how fast she memorizes songs she hears. We want to begin her with lessons and I have a lady at my church that is willing to teach. Only problem...no piano. I had to quit my job 5 years ago to be a stay at home mom for her so a piano is not in our budget. This would be such a blessing and I know the beginning of a wonderful future for Nicole.
Thank you for considering us,
C.

Hello B., thank you for the opportunity for such a wonderful thing. I would like to request the piano for my DH.

He learned to play as a child and grew up with a piano, but we haven't had one for as long as we've been together (13 years-10 married this Aug 9th - it would make an AMAZING anniversary gift!). He plays beautifully, and can write music as well. He composed a full orchestra wedding waltz for his best friend from college (played on an electronic keyboard - it was Beautiful) - probably the most special gift I've ever seen/heard given)!

We've moved around a lot and have just settled here in Richardson this past December. DH's career as a special effects programmer (he did commercials in NYC, movies in CA) took us around the country, and he recently gave up the "bright lights" of California in order to be with his family more consistently.

Our son is 15 months old, and DH would LOVE to have music come into DS's world - of course at this age, DS'd just be sitting with Daddy while he plays and hitting random keys himself :) It would be lovely to hear DH playing again, and to hear DS learning - I may even learn to play myself (though not nearly as well ;)

Thank you again for the opportunity, and thanks to your church for making such a wonderful gift to a deserving recipient. Somebody, somewhere is going to cry a few happy tears!

I noticed you have several responses already. My son and daughter-in-law sing and play the drums on their church praise and worship team at church. They would love to have a piano, so they could start training their children to follow in their footsteps. They both play the piano. I know the Lord will lead you where it is suppose to go to further His Kingdom. You can email me at ____@____.com or call ###-###-####.

We have been wanting a piano for our 4 year old to introduce her to music. Haven't been able to afford to buy one yet. We would absolutley love and cherish this piano. Funny that you put this message out there as just this week I volunteered at the Music and Arts camp at our church and could not be more excited about music! I myself have always wanted to learn how to play the piano so maybe I could take lessons too. Thanks for offering this piano to SAHM's, and who ever benefits from it I am sure will be so thrilled and appreciative.

After reading the wonderful responses, I am sure it will be a tough choice and a matter of prayer to decide who this piano should go to. I am sure you would love to give all of these wonderful SAHM's a piano. So nice of you to be doing this. So, now it is my turn to plead my case....

We have a loving home and have been saving just the right spot in it for a piano someday. We have four children who need to take lessons and I myself would love to take lessons again. Of course, with the rise in gas and grocery and everything else, the piano is on the back burner. I keep talking to my husband about it and I don't think we will be able to buy one anytime soon. My children are ready to learn tho, so everytime I look at our "piano spot" my heart hurts just a little. A home is not a real home until there is a piano in it.

Thank you for this opportunity. I am sure whoever the piano goes to will cherish it.

Tossing my children's hats in the ring...I have 3 amazing kids who are very musically inclined. My daughter(8) has taught herself to play Fur Elise on her toy electric keyboard and has been begging for a "real" piano. It's just not in our cards anytime in the future. We'd love to be considered for and would GREATLY appreciate the piano. My kids are 8, 6 and 18 months and already my youngest is very interested in music and tries to "play" along with her sister and has been caught "singing" along as well. I'd love to bring music into their lives. It's such a healthy hobby/outlet in the face of so many unhealthy ones.
Thanks!!!

Hello,
My 9 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons for a year...she has been using a casio keyboard at home to practice. My 5 yr-old son is also interested in taking lessons, but we will wait another year for him, due to maturity. Anyhow, we were just discussing the possibility of acquiring a piano and the expense it can encur...we'd love to see pictures of it if you have any...measurements to see if it will fit. Thanks,
T. L.

We are a small non-denom christian church out-side Tulsa,OK. A family loaned us a beautiful baby grand for almost 20 yrs and is asking for it back by mid-July. We cannot afford a piano as we recently had to replace the central air in our fellowship hall which practically depleted our savings . We
would consider this a tremendous blessing if you feel moved to help us,
May God Bless You, Pastor B.
