Cozy Coupe or Powered Ride On?

My husband and I are having a major debate about what to get my 2 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves riding her brother's old trike by pushing herself with her feet, so the perfect ride-on in my opinion? A princess cozy coupe! And the bonus is that a parent can push her around if needed with a nice little handle on the back.
My husband thinks she would like one of those 6volt powered ride cars. However, our yard is very hilly, and I worry it will get stuck and not go uphill, thus causing major frustration and complaining on her part.
So moms, what has your experience been with either of these toys? Of course, I know I'm right (haha), but I feel I should be fair and get objective opinions.
Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks! You all solified my decision to get the cozy coupe. And I suspect that she can also ride the cozy coupe indoors which is a plus. My husband just loses this debate- esp since I am the one that does all the Christmas shopping! haha!!

I agree with Purple Mom - 2 is probably too young for powered car. My son got one for Christmas from Grandparents when he was 2.5. He couldn't drive it and by the time he could drive it (about 3.5 or so?) he had outgrown it!!! So it was a total waste of money.

Well, both are great options. BUT, for her age, I would go with the NON-battery-powered vehicle. Then when she gets a little older, choose the battery car.

When my son was about five we got a battery-powered Jeep. He and my daughter had a blast with it!! We had a very large yard and they would drive all over the place. What made it even more fun was my husband had installed a very powerful, long-lasting battery!!! They even tied their wagon on and went out to the garden and brought in the veggies. It was fun!!!

Good luck!!

Children need exercise. Do not get her a powered vehicle of any kind. She needs to use her big muscles.

Yes they are cute but send the wrong message.

Coupe. My DD has the Coupe and my great-niece has the power car. The car is a hazard - kids run each other over, it tips on hills, and when the batteries run out, the kids get cranky. We also had to stop the kids at the recent party from "fixing" the dead car.

The Coupe may also tip on hills (so watch her) but never runs out of batteries and you have more control over it (not speeding down the sidewalk). I also think that kids can get more out of a car that requires them to push it - more exercize.

The power car is fun for my DD to use now and then, but she has no complaints about her car and has never asked for a power car. The coupe also holds up really really well. The only thing I'd change about ours is the handle, but it sounds like you will have one. :)
