I'm hosting a baby shower next month. I wanted to order cupcakes for the shower....but not sure from where. Does anyone know of a great bakery that you would recommend me ordering their cupcakes from? We live in Dallas in the Lakewood area.

I love Sprinkles....but they are a little to pricey to buy them for the shower, Any other suggestions would be helpful!
Hand down it is a place called Sprinkles cupcakes. The best tasting cupcakes I have ever had. Also, when Oprah was in town for the Texas State Fair, Sprinkle cupcakes was the only ones she took back with her. Love the red velvet ones. But they do have tons other great flavors. I was going to say Society Bakery too but see you have lots of recs for them, so I'll just toss out an alternative---petit fours from Casa Linda Bakery. They can make them with pink and/or blue baby booties iced on top--cute and yummy! (and reasonably priced).

Dimples has wonderful cupcakes and so does Tart Bakery - and, of course, there's always Sprinkles! :-)
The cutest and yummiest cupcakes are at Tart, which is located at Lovers and Inwood.
i LOVE society bakery's cupcakes, they are much more like homemade, and less preservative/out of a box tasting than sprinkes (although i wouldn't turn down a sprinkles cupcake either). Society Bakery is so convenient to our area & has smaller sized cupcakes that might work better & be less expensive if you are buying them for kids. Otherwise i've ordered petit fours from A&J bakery (not super close but not too far) and they were delicious and less expensive.
Try Society Bakery on Greenville and McCommas. They have incredible cupcakes! I've used them for a number of events and have had great feedback. I actually think they are better than Sprinkles :-)
Dallas Affaires has great stuff. They are on Abrams behind and across from Whole Foods.
I love Jackie Spratt cakes on McFarlin by SMU. Yummy moist cupcakes with buttercream icing!
SPRINKLES!!!!! by far, hands down. I think they are in Las Colinas. Our vendors bring them to us. Super fancy, grown up, beautiful cupcakes that come packaged beautifully.
Society Bakery on Greenville has the best cupcakes.
I highly recommend Brendal's Bakery in Rowlett. She does fantastic cupcakes and has lots of unusual flavors, like dill pickle, which might be kind of fun for a baby shower. Another vote for Society Bakery. They're in the neighborhood, and the cupcakes are divine.
