My kids loved the books. Read some! It'll give you more ideas. Maybe give the books out as gifts instead of bags of candy. You could have a cake in the shape of a big yellow hat.

My son LOVES Curious George and I have to admit, I love it as well. It is one of those shows I really enjoy watching with him.

Curious George is a very Math and Science based show. Each episode subtly focuses on math and science ideas. There are lots of sites that give great ideas for Curious George parties.

Most party goods stores carry Curious George themed plates, cups, etc. There is also a Curious George pinata - which we had at my daughter's b'day party a number of years back.

My first idea is to get a bunch of videos of Curious George and see them with your child, that way you can also see what parts are her favorite ones.
Do you have Party City in AZ? I have see things of Curious George in there but you can also find stuff online in Target, Walmart, etc.
Curious George party, how fun is that!!!!!!11

Curious George is a very curious monkey (just like young children) who tends to get off track while exploring things that catch his attention. The great news is, those things can be just about anything. He lives with The Man in the Yellow Hat.

You could draw a picture of a monkey holding a banana and do "pin the banana on the monkey" or on of the man and "pin the yellow hat on the man w/ the yellow hat".

Ooooh, perhaps go with a yellow with red polka dot theme to make it girly. I can totally see that on the cake aswell. You can use red melting chocolate for the dots. and a local bakery/cake shop can print you and edible image of curious george and you can still do it yourself.

Hi Spidermonkey,

Is there a Party City there? If so, there are tons of Curious George decorations there and for the cake, check at your local bakery and see if they can make one. I hope that this helps! Happy birthday to your daughter!:o)

Most grocery stores would be able to do a curious george cake (or a yellow hat cake) quite easily. If you wanted to make it yourself... all you would need is to cut out the iconic hat shape from sheet cakes, and use yellow frosting.

You could just decorate a cake birght yellow and have balloons on it. There is one story where he flies away on balloons.

Hi.
We did a curious george party for my daughter's 3rd, and it was fun! You can buy all the Curious George party materials at Party City or on-line if you have time. Most of the bakeries will have a Curious George cake, too. Mine didn't at the time, so I just bought a Curious George toy (the monkey in an airplane) and had the bakery put that on top of the cake. It was really cute. Instead of goodie bags, I gave each party guest a small CG book to take home. I'm sure you could find some monkey-themed party games on-line, too. Have fun!

Fantastic theme! You could even try reading them a book! Well, you have to have balloons, every child likes when he floats off with the bunch of balloons! Games could involve balloons, pass the balloon under your chin to the next person.... and of course Pin the Tail on the Monkey!
if you cant find Curious George paper goods ,maybe some jungle theme plates and cups and a blow up palm tree. Hang lots of green streamers to look like vines. and a few bunches of paper bananas hanging up high. make yellow hats for kids to wear. just a simple headband with the front of a big yellow hat.
How cute would a whole bowl full of bananas look in the middle of the jungle themed table!
For goody bags you could give each child a dollar store puzzle with a note saying Don't eat the Pieces! and/or when he goes to the zoo he feeds the animals peanuts, a baggie of whole peanuts to take home with a note saying Don't feed the Animals! (no mess, no choking and no allergy problems at the party) Have fun!

Curious George is awesome; I'm so excited for your daughter that she chose something more unique than a princess party! What comes to my mind is the man in the yellow hat. Check out orientaltrading.com and birthdayexpress.com, they have all kinds of party stuff. Curious George does all kinds of things that can be incorporated into a party: dinosaur digs, soapy/bubbly water games, playing doctor; if you find one of his books at library or bookstore, you'll get tons of ideas. Have fun!

why don't you make the cake as "the yellow hat" that the man in the yellow hat wears that might be easier to do ... not too sure on george myself I know he likes mischeif.

Google "Curious George Party Supplies." Birthday Express and Party City both have Curious George Party stuff I think. If you have Publix supermarkets there, they have Curious George cakes, but I think most grocery stores and bakeries can/will make them. There are lots of Curious George books at the library and bookstores (and book sections of places like Target), and the cartoon program comes on PBS. I think PBS Kids website also has some Curious George stuff so you can familiarize yourself with him. He's an awesome little monkey who is always very, very curious and always winds up getting into some trouble! He lives with his friend, The Man in the Yellow Hat.

We are a "George" family. You can find Curious George stuff at party city (atleast I was able to in AZ). Remember he is Curious, so maybe games that get the kids to explore their surrounds .
