Date Night Ideas - Huntsville,AL

Well, it's not night, but this afternoon while my boys are at day camp my husband and I are going to the spa for a couples massage. We are covered for about $600 a year each for massage, but hardly ever use it, so today we are going to an expensive mineral spa where we can relax in the mineral pools and have snacks etc. It will be nice after camping the last couple of days!

I bought a deal on Groupon for a 2-3 hour cooking school. You get to improve your cooking skills and have a great dinner. You get to choose what you learn to do and eat.

Newport beach has a gondola ride. The gondolas looked like the one we went for a ride on in Venice when we were there. It was in the evening and went around the harbor. I chose a night with an almost full moon. It included a talented sailor that sang italian songs, drove the gondola and I think, dinner. It was a while ago.

We went to the "Magic Castle". We paid for dinner and went to their magic shows. They must have had 4 shows (different rooms) and 20 or so strolling magicians that would stroll from table to table doing magic tricks. All of the magicians were wonderfully talented.

There are cruises to nowhere. You end up spending the night on a cruise ship after enjoying their entertainment and activities while they leave port and return to the same port after an night of sailing.

Then there is always what happens by accident . . .
My wife and I were on our way to dinner to a very nice place. We were both very dressed up. I took a short cut I shouldn't have. I took a wrong turn and we ended up on a one lane dirt road. Then I got a flat tire. No traffic. No one to help. Just my wife and I. I got out to change the tire and knew I would mess my suit up and get it snagged by the brush. So I took my suit off and started to change the tire. My wife got out and I told her to get back in the car because she would mess up her gown. She got back in and the next thing I knew she was "helping" me without her gown. It took a lot longer to change the tire than I thought it would, but I'll leave it to your imagination for the reason why.

Friday night we are going out to the Melting Pot (3 course dinner for two with wine for 1/2 price $47 through living social).
Saturday afternoon we are doing a wine cave tour with appetizer and wine (groupon for $26 I think).
Saturday night we're meeting up with 3 other couples and going to a piano bar (another groupon deal).
We're doing a boat cruise sometime in August. Summer concerts are fun or even art or street fairs.

We love dinner at great restaurants, fine wine, live music, people watching.

We are not much for movies.. that does not give us talk time.

We like sporting events, play a round of golf (I watch he plays), concerts, etc.

We are in the Dallas area so there are a ton of things to do. Sometimes it is nice to just talk a long walk or stroll through the mall.

My husband and I are not overly romantic, but we enjoy good food and we love kicking each others but in miniature golf! I mostly kick his butt though. We like to go see local bands too.

Honestly, my very favorite date place with my hubby is at home. If you can manage it have the kids go somewhere else. It is lovely to lounge around the house together watch what we want, and do whatever we want wherever we want ;) without all of our little interruptions. We usually do this on a Saturday day, for a few hours. Then maybe grab and early dinner and then the kids. I think home is the greatest place just to relax and reconnect together.

We mostly go to the movies and out to eat, its our favorite thing to do and we have NO kids every other weekend. We have also gone bowling, comedy clubs, gone to the local bar that has pool tables, and concerts. We also have a local website in Phoenix that lists all the local things to do, maybe you can see if there is one in your area. Good luck!

We also enjoy the Melting Pot. Also, we check out restaurant specials. Tonight is Fajitas for Two night at our local Mexican restaurant!

We also are quite fond of air hockey, and found a great arcade nearby. It has two high-quality air-hockey tables (connoisseurs of the sport!), and actual arcade games. Mostly pinball, but also some classic favorites.

There's always bowling or mini-golf, too.

Every once in a rare while, we'll check out our local community theater, too.
