Does anyone out there have a daycare near Shakopee that offers part-time/flexable and is resonably priced? I am a stay at home mom looking to enter the work world soon. I will be really starting my search in the next 2 weeks for a job outside of the home.
If you contact Scott County or visit the website you can get a list of all licensed childcare providers in your area. You can also call the Greater Minneapolis Childcare resource and referral.
Many providers offer PT and flexible schedules for older children but it may be hard to find for any infants/toddlers. I would recommend trying to find a quality provider and checking references. I would also drop by to visit during the day.

There is a very nice woman in Rosemount that accepts children for temporary care, or PT care and her name is Lori. She has taken care of my baby girl for 6 months, and she is wonderful.
Not sure you want to drive out Cnty Road 42 or Hwy 13 through Savage and apple valley to drop her off, but I know for a fact that she's one of the cheapest out there. Only charges $150 a week if you go FT (mon-fri), or $35 per day (if PT - like 2 or 3 days per week), or $20 for 1/2 day (4 hours). I don't think you'll find cheaper than that. Good luck.
