Check out Faubl Family Dentistry in Huntley. I LOVE this office! The staff is so nice, Dr. Fabul as well as the hygentist are both great, and I never have to wait when I arrive for my appt. I actually enjoy going to the dentist, if you can believe that! :-)

Everyone is really nice. They do have options if you are timid about undergoing procedures from gas to sedation. The dentists have great personalities and the hygenists are great/friendly. I found them by referral when we moved here 4 years ago. They've re-filled 2 cavities that fell out which is the extent that I've needed work done and they did a fine job. My son had to have a couple baby teeth removed when he got his braces and I think he had 1 cavity filled and he didn't complain.
We go to All Smiles Dental in Algonquin. When we first moved to the area, I also went to several dentists and could not find one that fit - they all made me uncomfortable or were unprofessional, or just didn't do a good job. All Smiles Dental is state of the art and patient focused. You mentioned for an adult, but they are also great with kids. Highly recommend it.
I highly recommend Dr. Antolak located on the south side of Crystal Lake. He is great. And Debbie is their best hygienist - super friendly and so gentle so your mouth isn't aching afterwards like mine used to at my former dentist. 370 Liberty Rd. ###-###-#### They moved into a new office maybe 1.5 yrs ago so all their equipment is totally new and modern too.
I totally understand! I went 9 years before going back. Been with Century Dental in Huntley (just south of Algonquin on 47) for three years and have been thoroughly pleased!
