I have been using pampers swaddlers for my baby and she is 6 months now. The swaddlers come only in size 1,2,3. Was planning to switch her to size 4 and tried the cruisers. First day with the cruisers and she s got a bad rash..small white/red bumps on her genitals. There is nothing else that she did different that day other than new diapers. Anybody have this issue with Cruisers?
Any suggestions are welcome.

What can I do next?

I noticed an increase in diaper rash issues when we switched from swaddlers to regular pampers. I don't recall if it was cruisers or baby dry.

It mostly affected my son that also had eczema issues.

We switched to Huggies. He occasionally had diaper rash still, but it didn't seem as intense or as frequent as we had seen with Pampers.

Has she ever had diaper rash before? Diaper rash can be caused by a number of things other than diapers. Teething, leaving a wet diaper on too long, food (my son used to get diaper rash whenever I ate something really acidic - he was a BF baby...and that happened too when he was older and would eat acidic things). Was she given any new foods?

I have not had that issue with any diapers - but my niece could only wear LUVS because any other brand gave her rash problems. Try different brands, but also think about other possible causes. Good luck!!

I had the same issue, I went straight to the pampers baby dry ones. That was almost 3 years ago though. I know they have "reorganized" their brand. Good luck

I used pampers, but my kiddos didn't do well in the 'baby dry' i had to use cruisers. . .. regardless, could it be less the diaper and more environmental/developmental. In swaddlers, they are little, not moving a lot, by the time they are in the 4s they are moving a lot more, maybe scootching around on the floor and that is about the time they get those wonderful little Micheline tire legs. This could cause additional rubbing and motion on the diaper that results in more rashes (heat, diaper, etc). Just a thought. If she is not doing these things, call the DR to rule out yeast infection:)

Take her to the Doctor to diagnose it.
It could be a yeast infection etc.

And also, switch brands.
I have never liked Pampers. I have always used Huggies.

Any chance this could be a yeast infection?

I'm sorry to hear your baby got such an uncomfortable rash. Try cloth diapers. Then you won't have to worry about the yucky chemicals in the disposables hurting her skin like that. Cloth diapers aren't what they used to be. They use velcro or snap closures, are stay-dry and easy to use.

I am currently using swaddlers size 1 wit with no issues. Once baby gets past swaddlers we will likely no longer use pampers and switch to Huggies because I have read about issues similar to what you describe because of the "dry max" feature in pampers. My boys have sensitive skin and we really liked huggies pure and natural at later stages.

The BEST ointment for diaper rash is BOUDREAUX BUTT PASTE. It will knock it out fast. When my teenagers were infants this was a prescription but they have started selling this over the counter.
That said, we have used pampers since my daughter was born. We started with the swaddlers and then switched to the cruisers. We have used the baby dry but do not like them at all and will only use them in a pinch. Same thing with all huggies. I do not like them at all. They always leak and won't hold anything overnight. They also run small.

Hi - I switched same as you and had no issues but I am not sure that means much. Your DD may just have a sensitivity to something in them. Change ASAP and give it a day. I would apply destin. If that doesn't improve it within or if she seems like she hurts, I would go to the DR. Poor baby....
