I used almond oil, three times a day and worked it in carefully and easily. Much cheaper than the strivectin. Good luck. Patti
I'm wondering if anyone has tried StriVectin for stretch marks. I'm sure many have but did it work??? I just bought it for $135 at Costco which I know is cheaper than what they are selling it for at Sephora and Macy's. I've checked with my doctor and he said it is fine to use while nursing. Any advice or info about results would be greatly appreciated! Thanks -B.
Thank you so much for all the input! The StriVectin is still on my counter - unused. I'm going to wait until I stop nursing then give it a try. I'll keep you posted! Thanks!

It does work on streach marks. However, it is very expensive!! There is a product that is just as good and a little cheaper! It's called Pentaxyl. I have been using it for about 2 years and I love it!!
You can get it at www.sullivanhealthandhome.com. There is a search box in the upper left side of the page. Type in Pentaxyl and it should bring it up for you.

Hi B......
I'm a pretty attractive Grandma who uses StriVectin for facial wrinkles, and the results have been astounding. Got out of the habit of using it for six months, and my face began to sag, and look wrinkled again. Within a month of re-application, I see results already. I know that it does amazing things to the skin....don't know about stretch marks, but I'd sure give it a try if I were you!

Dear B., read the box and see what it says about use while nursing. You should also call the 800 number listed on the StriVectin box, if the number isn't on the box look on the information page inside the box. Remember what you eat and apply on your body affects your system through absorption.

Hi B.:
I am using StriVectin for wrinkle reduction. I really don't have many, but don't want them, and don't want cosmetic surgery. When I had my children, there was a cream called "Mother's Friend" or "Mother's Helper." I used that and cocoa butter-constantly. I only got one tiny stretch mark after my third pregnancy.
Now with using STriVectin for a month; all of a sudden I looked in the mirror, and a scar that I had for years was almost gone! I was amazed B.! It was on my neck area that I was using the product for to prevent wrinkles. I wasn't even thinking about the scar going away, because I am so used to it. The product does work. I have not gotten any new wrinkles, and I do believe it will help your stretch marks! Good luck B., and try cocoa butter also, maybe even over the product.
hmm, interested in the answers
I've heard that stretch marks are hereditary, so there is really little you can do to remove them once you have them, unless you plan on surgery. I have had 5 kids. My youngest is now 6 and the stretch marks I got when pregnant with them have faded as I lost the weight. Never spent money on trying to remove them and now most people think I don't have any:0) i've heard that keeping hydrated (drinking plenty of water) and loosing weight is the best thing you can do for the stretch marks (keep in mind tonning the areas where you're loosing weight helps). Worked for me. Good luck 10 months is still a little baby, you have time for the marks to fade.
Good luck...

Hi B.,
I am a nutritionist and i am typically very particular about what I put in and on my body.
I researched the product and then tried it. I was impressed. It really softens the skin which then decreases the fine lines.
I still use it and it has been over 2 years.
Best to you, T. Renee

I used it after my first baby & I was happy with the results. My stretch marks didn't go away completely, but they lighted up considerably.
I like almond oil. You can find it at stores like Henry's or Trader Joe's. I put it on my belly once or twice a day during my pregnancy, and I dind't get any strech marks. Vitamin E oil is great too.
I used Dr Haushkas Black thorn oil. I gained (and lost) 80 lbs with my first one. No stretch marks.gained 50 lbs with the second, no marks.
But, My mom never got stretch marks and used nothing. I do believe there is a genetic componant.
How ironic that you should ask this question. Just a few minutes ago I signed on to AOL and noticed a headline that said something about crow's feet. I opened it up and there is a plethora of reviews on popular creams, etc.. to fight aging. StriVectin was one of them, and until a few minutes ago, I had never heard of it. I suggest logging on to aol.com and flipping through the headlines. :) Hope it helps you out!!
It works for my lines and wrinkles in my face. I am 68.

Try Vitamin E oil from Trader Joes, it's much cheaper and works a treat. I also use it on my face. The thing about stretch marks is it's your skin type, some people get them and some don't no matter how much cream you use. Take a table spoon of olive oil every day.

B.,
I don't know about StriVectin but i found that Emu Oil works wonders on all types of scarring, especially stretch marks. It's available at Henry's and also online at www.jsemuoil.com - i used it for my stretch marks and i also had a head injury recently and after 40 stitches used the emu oil on my scar - it's been a year and no one can even tell i had 40 stitches in my forehead - it's a super fine line! I've been using the emu oil on my stretch marks which are pretty old, my kids are now 18 and 14, but they are fading and most are almost invisible. The iol is about $20 for a medium sized bottle at Henry's even less expensive online and one small drop goes a long way.
Good luck to you and congrats on your little one!
Valerie
I use NuVectin, which I get from Bed Bath and Beyond for $24.99 - less either a 20% off coupon or a $5 off coupon (they accept them after the expiry date, so I save stacks of them). It works great for wrinkles on my face, chest and neck - I put it on about 3-4x a day.
NuVectin is WAY cheaper than StriVectin - the $24.99 price is for the big 6 oz tube - and I think it's just a generic version of the same stuff. They also have an eye cream for $14.99 that I haven't tried.
Good luck!
B.,
During one of my ultrasounds my doctor commented that I had no strech marks. I told her I was using a great cream from Origins and she told me that I should really thank my mother and not Origins because creams do little if anything - it's mostly genetic. You can get help with laser therapy (it's becoming very reasonably priced)after you're done nursing.

Hi B.. I tried Strivectin for old stretch marks (not related to pregnancy) and it did not work. However, I bought it at Sephora and was allowed to return it and get my money back. it may be more effective on newer stretch marks.
