I wanted to know if anyone know where you can have Coach handbags cleaned at? I have some leather ones along with the cloth ones. I wasn't sure if anyone has tried to clean it themselves and how you did it. Or if you had someone clean it for you. I was thinking of all of the nasty places where te bag has been! Eww. We have been in and out of hospitals most of our life and I have taken these bag to the hospital trips, doctors, stores etc. So they really need a deep cleaning.

Thank you for any and all suggestions.

What can I do next?

Coach bags can go to the Coach store for cleaning. Drop off the bag, come back for it in a week or have it shipped to you directly. Pick up or order online the Coach cleansers and moisturizers and do it yourself. I would not use harsh chemicals or perfumed chemicals as it may ruin the leather. You can ask your dry cleaner but I think it will be alot of money.

I have a couple of Coach bags and my daugher has 3-4..

One of my favorites from a couple years ago was all white...not leather, not vinyl... I don't know the material. A great summer bag (not too big, not too small) Anyway, with it being bright white, it needed to be cleaned often.

I took it to my dry cleaners and it was going to be about $100 and no guarantees that it would be perfect when it came out.

I only paid $200-$250 for it so I just opted to clean it myself and take my chances. I used baby wipes and magic eraser and I got another 2 years out of it. It is still a good purse but not the bright white I loved.

As for the leather, I just air them out well, and clean the leather myself with leather cleaner. We do have some of the Coach brand cleaner for a fabric one daughter has that worked well. My daughter has a large cloth type tote that cleaned up very well with the Coach cleaner.

For storage, I do stuff them well after they are thoroughly cleaned and dry and store them in the protactive bags they came in when I bought them.

I have several of the "classic" coach bags, the ones that are about 1/4" thick leather. Coach makes a cleaner and conditioner, but after those ran out I just used baby wipes for quick cleaning and Vaseline Intensive Care lotion for conditioning (like cream on your face). I have also washed a friend's Coach bag who spilled a whole can of Coca Cola in her light green bag and let it sit for a long time, so the stain was totally inside the leather. I filled up the tub with warm water and mild detergent, and completely soaked the bag and kneaded it, especially in the area of the stain (it was one of those huge leather totes. After washing I rinsed it many times in more tubs full of water. Then I put a towel inside and rolled it in another big towel and squeezed as much water as possible out of the leather. I hung it up to dry and sort of pulled and punched the leather back into the shape it needed to be (basically a big bucket). After it was completely dry about a day later I used a dry wash cloth and a lot of Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion (the basic yellow cheap kind) and really massaged the cream into the whole bag (only on the treated side, so just the outside and the treated side of the pockets, etc.). I let it sit another day and when I handed it back to her she said it felt like new. The stain almost came out, you could still see it a little but it was a lot less noticeable. You can also call Coach since they guarantee their bags for life, and have handles replaced etc if they no longer match in color, since a white bag will end up with cream colored handles due to the oil in your hands over time.

If you don't want to clean it yourself, I would try a really RELIABLE shoemaker - they work with leather all the time and know what to use.

Coach stands by their products. They also sell both a leather cleaner and a moisturizer, which work really well on the leather bags. You can take any bag into the store for repair work, even wear and tear on areas they cover. I've done that any number of times with my bags.

I have a cloth Coach bag in a light silver color. About 2 weeks after buying it I remembered why I never buy cloth bags. It looked horrible. But, I only (ha!) paid $110 for the bag on clearance, so I took a chance at cleaning it myself. I live a couple hours away from the store. I held it over the sink, gently sprayed water over the exterior (making sure not to get the interior wet) and used a gentle dish washing detergent (diluted) to softly massage into the fabric. About 20 seconds of gentle massaging and another rinse with the water hose and it came out looking brand new. I patted as much water off it as I could, and hung to dry.
