A. I have the same issue! I didn't have a yard sale but have lots of boy clothes. What did you end up doing?
hello ladies, i just cleaned out my kids closets and had a yard sale. however i still have a ton of clothes left.
does anyone have any suggestions on where i can donate the clothes. i hate to take it to a thrift store and just have it sit there. i would really like to have it used by someone that can really use it. if anyone know of an organization or a needy family that i can help out that would be wonderful. any suggestions would be helpful.
thank you

Have you tried the elementary and day cares around your home? I know my elementary and daycare are always asking for gently worn for little accidents that happen.
This saves embarrassement to the little ones.

Hi A.. I work for Homeland Security and a group of us adopt a family and donate clothes and food to them doing the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. If you want you can contact me at ____@____.com or ###-###-#### and I will be able to give you more information. My name is Jay and I am off on Mondays during the week and the weekends. Thanks in advance.
We are currently helping out a family with 8 children whose father just walked out on them we have purchased clothes for them from Salvation Army but could always use more. The youngest is one month old and the oldest is 10 years. Please let me know.
Try a site called GumdropSwap (http://gumdropswap.com). You can swap from anywhere in the US by sending the clothes your kids outgrow to this kids boutique in CT. An option if you want to get some value out of all the money you spent instead of flat out donating. As long your things are in good condition they don't turn down anything because of brand, size or season. They take everything unlike resale store like Once Upon a Child! They give you points to shop on the website and send the clothes that fit your kids. It's great if you don't have time, patience or know how to do consignment, Ebay, craigslist, tag sale, etc.
Try the Houston area Women's Center or Depelchin.
There is a organization that takes in women and children it is called Sarah's House and it is in Pasadena, TX. You can look it up on the web and get the address and phone number to contact them. Hope this helps!
Call local churches. Most churches support local families in various needs. Some may have children that were your kids sizes.
And you would know they are being used.
I had called the Salvation Army Family Center on 1603 McGowen (downtown) at ###-###-#### and was told they accept donations for the families within their center. So, that might be a donation center you might want to consider.
donate to me! :) lol if you want! i have no problems taking hand-me-downs... i love them! i have a 20 month old boy and 4 year old girl. let me know if you're interested.
Try talking to someone in the office at one of the schools. They should be able to accept them and give them to a needy family, or put them in their clothes closet for when a child has an accident.
Dear A. I do take donations and a I foward this donations to people from mexico or central america like el salvador or honduras. If you are willing to give this clothes away I can take it.
The Star of Hope for Women & Children Downtown always take donations. There's also a Women's Center on Waugh Dr. Sorry, not sure of addresses or #'s for these two locations, I just know how to get there. I'm sure you can google them.
