I'd call the local women's shelter. The women there are often in need of medical equipment.
I'm cleaning out the house, and I have a medical walking boot. Anyone know of any organizations I can donate it to? I can't find any information doing online searches, and I hate to throw away this boot! Someone in the world has to be in need of a quality medical walking boot!
Ill try salvation army.

Please check into this organization - http://helpingfromheaven.org/.
They donate to children in need, there might be an older child that could use it. I believe that Salvation Army or even Goodwill would take it as well. You might even try calling some hospitals to see what they recommend.
I have one and will lend it out if needed...but I'm keeping mine just in case I have another freak accident and need it!
There are many communities that have "medical closets" whereby you can borrow durable medical equipment like crutches, walkers, etc. My mom, who lives in Mt. Prospect, has borrowed items from their medical closet. You might want to check that out.
Google "donating medical equipment". There are LOTS of places seeking those donations! (Including Samaritans Purse)
Or.....maybe Craigslist or free cycle?
