Hi Moms! I have 3 months left in my second pregnancy and have already started nesting. I have huge amounts to donate to a good cause. Including coats, blankets, sheet sets, towel sets, mens and womens clothes and some furniture. Do any of you know of a great cause that will pick all this stuff up and give it to people that need it. I don't want it to be sold because I feel like this may be a year that people will really need this kind of stuff and don't have the money to spend, even at Goodwill. I would really pefer someone to pick it up so I don't have to load it up and take it out myself. Thanks so much for your help!

Call Salvation Army. Absolutely the best option for what you are looking for.

Hi K., National Federation of the Blind will do pick ups. I believe they are in the phone book. Just leave yur bags/stuff out front and put NFB on the bags and off they go. Super easy!

Hi, K.--

I would highly recommend donating to Operation Breakthrough. They are a fantastic organization serving the homeless and working poor, and their children, in Kansas City. My daughter and I volunteered there this summer, and our hearts were overflowing for these kids! You can call Debbie Skaggs at ###-###-#### or email ____@____.com. Though they don't have regular "pick ups" they may be able to arrange pickup through their volunteers.

All the best,

T.

Give it to Safe Home! They are a wonderful place for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, and you would nver believe how many people are going through this is silence. I don't know about pick-ups, but maybe even a friend or church member would do that as a way to serve. ###-###-####.
