I have a graco duoglider that got broke and need to purchase a new double stroller....only I really didn't like my duoglider. I did not like how hard it was to recline the back into sleeping position, and also once it was reclined I couldn't access the basket underneath. I also didn't like how shallow the cup holder was. My coffee would always spill out everywhere! So I am looking for ALL opinions on double strollers. I have a 2 1/2 yr old and 10 month old, and both like to be able to sit....so I don't think they would like the sit and stand. Please let me know why you like your strollers!

What can I do next?

I used to have the Maclaren Twin Techno. We loved it. It was pricey, but well worth the money. I also had a Maclaren Techno XT single stroller that was fabulous as well. I was able to sell the double stroller for $150 3 years later, so for us, it was a great investment.

We bought the Graco IPO. It was very inexpensive compared to the Maclaran and looks great and I really do like it. However, it is a little on the heavy side, again just compared to the Maclaran. Don't get me wrong, it is overall a great, light stroller that manuevers well, gets through doorways easily, etc. But, I do wish I would have spent the extra $ on the Maclaran. The IPO was about $180 and the Maclaran was around $350, so, if you can afford the Maclaran, I would go for it. If you are on a budget, the IPO might be a good fit.

The Bob double side by side stroller is really nice. My sister in law has one for her 2yr old and 4 mo.old. It is so easy to manuver/push. The only downfall is the price - they are EXPENSIVE, but from what I know worth the money if you use your stroller alot. I've heard there is a market of used ones on Ebay & Craigs List so you might get lucky. I'm also looking at double strollers for my 2 year old & soon to be addition - but I'm leaning towards the sit & stand, as I don't know if I will like the width of the side by side. Good luck.

well, I just wanted to tell you how much I love my sit and stand. There is a seat in the back for the standing child to sit down if they want (facing back though or their feet are in the basket), and it even has a strap to buckle them in!!! I use it all the time!!!!
It doesn't recline as much as a regular single stroller though for napping... i can't remember how much the duo glider reclined... i only used one while my younger one was in the infant seat.
My girls are 15 months apart, but the way... so they were probably about the same age as yours when I started using it, and I still use it now (they are 4.5 and 3.5 years old). Plus, i feel like after age 3, definately 4... the older child wouldn't really want to be in a regular stroller... but I've had 7 and 8 years olds wanting to go on a ride on my sit and stand. hahaha!!! I hope this helps!!!

We have the Peg Perego Aria Twin and have been very happy with it. Although it is a side by side, we never had trouble going through doors or maneuvering through stores. We had a tandem when they were little but once they got bigger, we preferred the side by side. Good luck

I love my BOB Duallie. It has large, separate canopies, reclines nicely and pushes like a dream. It's big, but it handles well. It's a bit on the spendy side, but they go on sales twice a year at REI or you could sign up to be a member there and get a 20% coupon. It's worth the money for sure! It took a lot to convince my husband that we should spend that much on a stroller. The fact that we bought it 20% off brand new at REI and it was about the same price as people were selling them used for on eBay and craigslist was a great selling point to him. Now that we have it, he LOVES it. He's like the BOB spokesman when we are out in public with it. We also just took it to Disney World. It's a little bulky and hard to handle through the airport and on the busses at Disney but we can't imagine what it would have been like without it. I could go on and on.....I just love it. I was able to push it through a food court with one hand with my kids in it while carrying a tray of food with no problem. There are a lot of nice, smaller double strollers out there, but none that push as easy as this one.

I think if I had to pick one thing about it that could be improved, it would be that it would lock in the folded position. We just used a bungie cord around it for traveling.

Good luck!

BTW, I have a 3.5 yo and a 20 mo old.

I have a Graco IPO side by side stroller and I love it. I have a 9 month and 4 yo and they fit just fine. My 4 yo still loves to sit rather than walk, so this worked out well. He does like to get up and down, which made this one easier than a tandem. It is easy to fold and and maneuver, and I don't notice that one side is heavier than the other when both are in it. Both sides do recline, and that was very helpful, especially if one wanted to lay down. It is very easy to recline as well. Dislikes are that it is a little heavy, but not too bad. It also does not have the highest back, so if your child is on the tall side the head sits above. Also, it does not have any cupholders, which is a real downer. It is also slightly wider than a wheelchair, so sometimes driving it through stores can be difficult. Other than that I do love it, and so do the kids.
