I switched doctors recently and I'm now going to be seeing a dr. Brian Wolsey in provo. My first appointment with him is this Tuesday and I just wanted to know before I go if he is a good dr. Has anyone had any experiences with him?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Went to see Dr. Wolsey yesterday and I found him to be a very nice doctor. He seemed very concerned about me and asked the usual questions and he seemed to really listen to me. A nice change! I think I will really enjoy going to him. Thanks again for all your comments and help- you girls are wonderful!

he did my c-section in september. my overall experience with him and his office, i would rate as fine. i like his nurses and receptionist. he is a bit forgetful at times, but if you don't mind reminding him, he's very nice. i was never offended by him as i've been by some doctors. there are no toys in the office, so be prepared if you bring your son. but unlike other obgyn offices in town, food and drink are allowed. since he's the only doctor in the office, a couple times my appointment was postponed while he ran over to the hospital to deliver a baby. the staff gave me the option of waiting for him to return or coming back later. when i chose to come back later they got me in to see him before the others who had appointments at that time. if you have a large vehicle, the parking lot can be a challenge, but not impossible.
one of my neighbors went to him for both her babies and really likes him.

He has been my doctor for 6 years, and I really appreciate his care and concern for his patients. He will answer any questions you have, but he doesn't always volunteer information -- meaning he's not sure what you do or don't know. But I have found that with WHATEVER I have concerns, he will always listen and respond respectfully. I am a high-risk patient, and I have never once felt like I don't matter to him, even though he is extremely busy. Since he is busy, don't hold anything back on your history. I do have to remind him about some things, but he always seems to remember as soon as I bring it up again.

One thing you should know, though, is that he will be gone for all of 2009. He will tell you that on your appointment. Good luck, and I hope you like him as much as I have.

I did not go to him personally, because he was my stake president and for me that was awkward, but I can attest to his character, he is a great man. Also many people in my ward at that time did go to him and loved him. His office was always busy, but it was worth the wait, is what they said. They also said he is willing to go whatever route you want to go. My RS president went to him and she had a lot of different particulars that I never would have thought of, and he is flexible that way. Hope that helps

I got referral to see him in 2005 when I lived in Orem. I like him also. He delivered my first baby. He delivered couple of his grandkids. One of his daughters worked at the front desk part time. The nurses and the staff are very nice. The office is very small. He is the only Dr and back then Wed is the only date for ultrasound. Wed is even busier. The waiting room is small and no toy, so I do not recommend people who need to take kids with their appointment. I know he is physicall fit as he is always run back and front from the Dr office to the hospital to deliver other people and his patients' baby. Last year I live in Pleasant Grove and used Legacy OB GYN by the American Fork Hospital. I do not like UT Valley Hospital. It was so busy that I did not get the attention I need from the nurse and lactation staff. The room actually smaller than the one in AF Hospital. I heard a lot good comment on Orem Community. It is a small hospital that offers very personal service. The cool thing is that you do not need to change from room or floor. you have the same room from the time you check in to deliver the baby to the time you check out the hospital.
