Need a New Ob/gyn/having Fertility Issues

I live in PG and am in need of finding a new OB/GYN. I have been seeing an OB/GYN who shares an office with the midwives that delivered my first (now 2 1/2). The only reason I even began to go to this doctor is because I was familiar with the office, but I have some reservations about continuing to go to him. We have been trying for a second baby for over a year now and my current OB could care less that I'm concerned about it. In fact, after leaving me to wait in the office for an hour, he practically blew me off once he finally came in the room. We had absolutely no issues getting pregnant the first time (he was conceived while I was on birth control), but this time nothing we've tried has seemed to help. I would really like to find someone who understands this a little better and help with alternatives to seeking fertility treatments...I'm not quite ready for that yet. I'd also like someone that is fairly close.

i go to Dr. Wayne Young. He works at Orem Community hospital also delivers at Timpanogas. He is one of the best high risk doctors (i am not high risk, so you do not have to be to be a patient of his). he is also great at infertility questions. he is great in the delivery room and out. you an tell he loves the babies. he has a nurse practitioner and she is amazing, Heather Johnson. very friendly and both are eager to answer any question you have. when i called the office to ask about the doctor the lady said that dr. young usually gets backed up in the afternoons (i have waited 2 hours once) but it is because he sits with you and answers all you questions, not an in and out doctor.
good luck

I see Dr Broadbent on University Ave in Provo. He is pretty great. He's all about being proactive with your fertility (especially if you've been ttc a while) and will look at both ends of the issue (you and your husband). Good luck! I know how frustrating ttc for too long can be (took us a year to get pregnant with our first)

I don't know who your doctor but that is no fun. I don't see this doctor (as I live in Orem) but he is a friend of the family and he works in PG his name is Mark Saunders. He is really nice but again I haven't seen him in the doctor sense so I don't know how he is. But he is one of the nicest people I know.

I would recommend the group of doctors next to American Fork Hospital. They are Lind, Lamoreaux, Melendez, Aagard and Ollerton. I had my fourth baby with them just four months ago. They are all great doctors. Phone number is ###-###-####. Really, I haven't talked with anyone who has had a bad experience with any of them.

Or, there is also a great woman OB/Gyn that I have heard great things about, Andrea Smith, with the Intermountain Legacy OB/Gyn Clinic, also close to AF Hospital. Phone number is ###-###-####.

Good luck! I hope everything works out.

I don't know that this will be helpful in the least but after going the OB/GYN route with my first we changed to a family practioner. I liked that my doctor could immediatly be my newborns dr as well. I go to Cascade Family Medicine, its in North Orem. The staff and dr., nurse practioner and PA are all wonderful, caring, and well informed. I don't know what they would say about fertility issues or suggestions but Dr. Berry is kind, listens, and helps where ever he can.
Like I said this may not help you in the least but if you are shopping, we have really loved this place.

I love all the doctors in the office I go to in American Fork! Dr. Melendez, Lamorueux, Aggard, Lind, and Ollerton. My personal favorites are Melendez and Lamorueux! They each delivered one of my girls, I have two! Good Luck! There is nothing worst than frustrations with doctors.
