There is an outbreak of TB that is spreading quickly. One of the signs is drastic, quick weight loss. Also, like others said, diabetes can cause that as well. Good luck!!
To begin I have dreamed of this my entire life!! But now I’m scared. I have always had difficulty losing weight since I had kids and have gotten older. I have recently turned 31 and have noticed in the past 2 months I have lost close to 20 pounds without doing anything different. The first time I noticed because my clothes started fitting different and I had lost about 10 pounds. Then on Sunday (4 days ago) I noticed again that my clothes are even bigger on me. I weighed myself this week Sun – Fri and I have lost 6 pounds over the week, 2 pounds since yesterday. Again this is without doing anything different. I have no other signs or symptoms. No loss of appetite, probably even eating more. No loss of energy, no change in my stomach, or moodiness. I guess it’s time to call the doctor? No increased thirst at all, I don't really drink that much.
I went to the doctor and had a blood test and everything came out normal. She thinks it is anxiety due to my elevated heart rate of 111. However I do not have panic attacks or trouble sleeping so I believe it is something I can control on my own.

I don't want to scare you, but I have to -- unexplained weight loss was one of the first signs my 35-y/o SIL had that she had cancer. She didn't know it, and just rejoiced that she was finally losing weight easily for the first time in her life, so it wasn't until she had more troubling symptoms that she actually found out she had terminal colon cancer. It may not be cancer -- as others have said, there are many other reasons why you might be losing weight -- but that is something to consider and not lightly brush aside.
Show off!
No really, that IS drastic. I'd make a call to the doctor ASAP.
I would go get checked. This could be diabetes. It could also be a change in your thyroid.

Drastic fast weight loss is a sure sign of diabetes.
It would be worth it to have it checked out at the doctors.
It could be any number of things, some less serious (thyroid trouble is treatable, so is TB and tapeworm), and others very serious (cancer).
If it's due to anything serious, you want to catch it and head it off early as you can.
While I'm sure you are ecstatic to have the weight coming off (I would be, too), this type of sudden, extreme, and effortless weight loss is alarming. It could be nothing, but it could be something too. Go to the doctor and get checked over. If there is something wrong, better to catch it as early as possible and get the proper treatment. Hoping the best for you!!!
I would call the doctor and get tested for diabetes..
Does your breath smell sweet?
More thirsty than before?
Also get your thyroid checked - it could be a hyper-active thyroid as well.
Congrats on the weight loss! Hope its NOTHING SERIOUS!!!
Cheryl
Could be your thyroid- overactive.
Hyperthyroid?
I didn't have any systems when I was diagnosed being Hypo.
You should see a dr.
Increased hunger and rapid weight loss are signs of Type 1 Diabetes. Do you have inceased thirst? Please go to your doctor and have your bloodwork checked...better safe than sorry.
Definitely get a check up, this can be a sign of diabetes and a host of other stuff! OR maybe you are the luckiest gal ever! I hope so! Let us know how it goes! Hope all is well!
I wish I had what you have :)
But I agree with the others that you should have a check up.
See a doctor. Diabetes doesn't have to present with multiple symptoms.
I would bet you anything you have Hyperthyroid. An overactive thyroid. It is really easy fix for this, but you do need to get it checked ASAP. My doctor compared Hyperthyroidism to someone that is sitting on a couch watching T.V. is like runny a Marathon to them. Really bad for your heart. I would get it checked ASAP for sure! Good luck
Sorry this is late. I don't check my email much. Nothing to add...go to the doctor. Will you let us know what happens?
Definitely call the doctor ASAP. Like others have said, it could easily be nothing but you'd want to know as soon as you can if it is something more. I agree with others on possible thyroid issues or diabetes. You never know until you have the doctor take a look at you and run some tests. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
