Okay, I am at my wits end. Every winter, I get extremly dry hands. I have used several different over the counter products but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have a product that they use that could help this? I am sick of having dry, itchy hands.
have you tried Kiehl's or Bliss brands? they carry them at Neiman's ---go there and ask for a sample that you can take home and try before you buy. they both have stronger body lotions.

I will have to motion for RENEW from Melaleuca as well...it has helped my toddler son with itchy dry skin (eczema) and my older boys who swim alot with their dry skin from being in the water all the time.

Coming from a family full of dermatologists, I am in the know of skin problems/cures.
The problem with most lotions/moist. is that they "lay" on the skin and don't realy penetrate. Have you ever noticed that when you put on lotion....it seems like you didn't put any on about an hour later? Dry and itchy again?
You really need something that truly penetrates the dermal layer of the skin with an anti-inflammatory on it if your skin is that dry/cracked/or itchy. There are only a few of these moisturizers that actaully place ceramides back into the skin which alleviates this problem to the fullest. The best is Barrier Repair by remergentskin.com (great for face/hands) and then ceratopic by skinmedica which is really only for the hads/feet.
Neither of these will leave your skin feeling dry/itchy after using them...and they are not so heavy and thick either.

I like the "Beyond Belief" products that you can get at Sally's. They make one cream with Shea butter (I forget the name exactly, but it's in a tub and has a picture of the shea nuts on top... the ladies at Sally's should be able to help you... when I get home tonight, I can look at the tub and update this with the actual name), but it's not that heavy, even though it's a cream. I put it on kinda thickly at night before I went to bed and then put it on a couple of times during the (a bit lighter so that it would soak in faster) and in a few days, my hands were no longer so dry and itchy.
It smells... well, it might be something that some people like... I don't find it offensive, but it kinda reminds me of the sun tanning products that have cocoa butter in it. It's not bad, but it is different. But it works great!
Hope you find something... I hate have having such dry hands - makes them look like my mom's!
