No, they aren't that important. I give everyone that responds to my questions a flower even if I think they are idiots.
I just realized I sent a flower earlier today to the wrong response. It wouldn't be a big deal, but response was REALLY rude and childish. The one I meant to flower was above it. Whoops. Hope that person doesn't think I endorsed the low-blow that the reply gave.
What do ya say? Should MP have a way to take back the flower?
Haha, Veronica, definitely wasn't you :)
Jo, Yep, that's probably happening right now. Don't worry, 'twasn't you either :)
Yes, I would like to de-flower a particular member :) LOL, Veronica!
...and yes, I realize I like to ETA my replies & questions, so I've probably made at least a few people wish they could de-flower me ;-)
Ah, Sheila, I think my name might come up as: X.O. Ladies, is that right? I don't put my real first name on here anymore, after a bad experience a couple of years ago.
No, they aren't that important. I give everyone that responds to my questions a flower even if I think they are idiots.
Not a bad idea! In fact a great idea!
Also could be useful for when folks change their answers....
Well, no. But I often have responders remorse.
Like where after I respond I read someone ELSE'S response and wish I'd been a little more, um, sensitive.
I have sent flowers though to people who've sent me nastigrams, just to play with their minds, teehehe. Really. I guess that's rude and childish too, huh? Ok, I 'm over it.
:)
Nooooooo. Don't take my flower back!!! (sniff. I know I've been cranky lately.)
LOL... Okay, that over with... I've done that before. I just figure it's the powers that be saying that person needs a hug.
What I feel REALLY bad for is accidentally reporting posts (before they added the comment box, that makes it less automatic) when I was TRYING to give a flower.
WOOHOO! One time I'm glad NOT to have gotten a flower. :)
I do wish we could take them back... I have often prematurely clicked the button, then get to the last little bit and there is ONE sentence that kills the entire sentiment...
Of course, that's my own fault for not reading the whole answer.
I also think it would be nice for answer changes... I know I often add to my answers once I think about it a little more... I always wonder if the people who had already sent flowers wish they could take them back when I edit. (I know I sometimes do when someone else does it! lol.)
(checking to make sure I didn't get a flower from you...)
ETA - are you saying you wish to deflower someone?
How much you want to bet that everyone who responds to this first goes and checks their flowers to make sure you didn't send them one?
I have done that before, I have also accidentally flowered when pondering the report button.
I just figure it will make them go back and look at my response, with any luck that makes them think, thinking is always good. :)
It was the 401k post, wasn't it? See now I am looking at that and thinking what was rude and childish. I don't like them but they actually make more sense than not contributing to your 401k because the money must go back to the 401k.
Once or twice. Embarrassing!
I wish they did, I've done the same thing a few times and couldn't believe I'd done it ツ
Phew, dodged that bullet. LOL Jo.
Looks like I'm okay today! Now, tomorrow may be a different story. Yes, I think that would be a great idea.
Have a great evening everyone. See ya tomorrow!!
Oh yes, it has happened to me.
Lol I accidentally " flowered" a mom who flamed me!! Not today .. But I've learned to pay closer attention to what I'm doing!
As soon as I read your question, I went to check my inbox to see if I received a flower from you today. Glad I didn't piss you off! :)
If it was me, than piss off! ;)
Haha, Im spicy today!
This is when you thank your lucky stars that the flowers are anonymous and Mamapedia doesn't call out "QueenoftheCastle LIKES this response!"
Yes. I gave someone a flower recently who had the complete opposite viewpoint on the subject as mine. Oh, well. She got a lot of flowers and I hoped maybe mine just got lost in the bouquet. :)
I accidentally friended someone that I didnt mean to, I dont like ANY of that persons responses so I sent a PM to tell her that I didnt mean to friend her I dont want to be her friend because I find her responses mean! If I remember correctly she reported me! OH WELL!! Yes I wish I could rescind flowers sometimes! :)
I just looked at my flowers and realized everyone comes up as a first name and I don't know yours. Then I spent a long time reading up on a lot of very nice people.
I am not very bright. I do not know what flamed means and what reported is. But I got a letter from Mamapedia saying I was reported once. I was almost crying. I think it was in response to one of my only notes where I wasn't compassionate towards a person I felt was a troll. Otherwise when I give flowers I am sometimes giving them to people who have different opinions but I can then see their side and I want to help people with my notes, having taken wrong paths a lot in life I would like to steer people away from some of the pain I caused myself.
I have hit a mistaken flower here and there and didn't worry about it too much. Unless they were going to harm someone with their comments, and then I think I better do something.
I too have sent a flower and did not want to send it. I am also very happy that MP doesn't call you out with your name and that you love the answer! That would be horrible.
I often wish there was a disagree with the response. Some people get really mean when they respond. Some people give answers that are not answers to the specific question that the writer is asking. This bugs me to no end!! Not a "report this" kind of thing, but enough where I would like the person asking the question to know that I feel she should not worry about that response. :) Sometimes it would be nice to see how many people disagree. Just my 2cents.
Just go back and hit REPORT and edit your answer!
